MICROCHIPS WORK!!
Tobi went missing April 30, 2022, from Taylor MI. 96 days later and a trip to Elkton MI, Tobi has been reunited with his family all because of his microchip!
When Tobi went missing his family did everything right. They reported to the proper authorities, took to posting on social media. Searched and searched the area. Reported on his chip as missing, so if ever scanned it would show he was missing. Sadly, he had no sightings. He was just gone.
Lots of minor things had to fall into place to make this happen and we are all thankful everything fell into place like it did.
96 days later it happened.
This little dog was brought into us after being found running. He was scanned, he had a chip. We made the phone call and was very surprised at the results. Within a very short time Michelle (Tobi human) called with excitement and some disbelief. They made the 125-mile drive to get him. The sounds Tobi made, the licking of the faces, the dancing he was doing brought tears to our eyes. All of this because of that tiny microchip.
All shelters see it often that a dog is microchipped but not registered. Many people assume the vets office registers it, some people forget to register it. Here is a reminder why they need to be register. MICROCHIP and REGISTER your pets ASAP!

Peace earned his ACT 1 title!! He is SO smart. This dogs learns just by watching other dogs. I thought it was a fluke with scent training. Thank you Debbie Eagle for coming out. Also for Cindy Parson at Bay Shore Camp to provide this great opportunity!

In the case of our Shelties, we also add about $2-3000 worth of training costs to get them prepped for future assistance or therapy work. Not a cheap endeavor!

I put them in the big crate together while I was doing some cleaning and working with the rats last night. You could fit 4 shelties in that crate comfortably. I walk in the room and Chip is stuffed in a corner with Big Bertha upside down, spread eagle on top of him 😂😂😅

Now that Chap has moved in to his permanent home (and, I’m told, has already made friends with the neighbor dogs and claimed his spot on the couch next to mom) his brother Chip has moved into his previous foster house and is making himself right at home.
