With the Grand Opening of my new studio just a couple weeks away, it seems like the perfect time to do a quick reintroduction! (and for the resident dog models, too! 😜)
I’m Marquee - dog mom, storyteller, and creative mind behind Marquee Photography & Design. ✨ Based Mid-Michigan, I’m a multi award-winning pet photographer on a mission to celebrate the human-animal bond. Every dog has a story worth telling—and I’m here to help you tell it, beautifully and authentically. MPD was launched in April of 2019 and since then, I’ve poured my heart and soul into capturing the unique and beautiful spirits of our furry family members.
You’ll be seeing the adorable faces of my own dogs on here often, as they are always helping me try out new ideas and concepts! Here's a little peek of who they are:
🐾 Venture Dale - 7 year old German Shepherd/Lab/Doberman. You'd be hard pressed to find this dog without his frisbee. His Kong Flyer is absolute favorite thing in the world (besides me, of course! 😉) He is the sweetest, most sensitive and affectionate dog. He first came home as a puppy the weekend that Dale Earnhardt Jr. retired from Nascar, hence his middle name.
🐾 Vera Jane - 3 year old Newfoundland/Great Pyrenees. Pronounced VER-uh, like the plant - [Aloe] Vera. Certified Therapy Dog and official 'Yard Guard' (GP Parents, I know you know lol) Ridiculously sweet and easy going, Vera loves to swim, go for boat rides, participate in Fast CATS, and play with her brothers.
🐾 Zade - 5 month old Smooth Collie. Our foster puppy! Zade belongs to the Unleashed Dog Training Service Dog Program. He is staying with us while he works his way through the first phase of his training! He is so sweet and unbelievably smart. I'm so excited to see all the incredible things he will do in his Service Dog role!
Each one of them play a special role in my life and in the heart of MPD. Whether they’re modeling new sets, tagging along on location scouts, or just keeping me company during editing marathons, they’re a huge part of everything I do! 💛

Monte and I got invited to the AKC Rally National Championship!! We got our entries in and room booked, but we will have to move the dogs who are scheduled for July 2nd and 3rd, I'll be reaching out next week to get them rescheduled! I am so excited, and look forward to meeting some of the top dogs in the country!
