Introducing Maxx. He is here for the one week program to work on his manners, settling in the house, pulling on the leash and we will even be working on his confidence in the water.

Woody has officially been here for over a month and his confidence has really grown. The first couple of nights he was getting up to use the bathroom but has since slept through the night with little to no problems.

We are still working through his separation/crate anxiety. He has learned sit, down and recall. We are working on heel/loose lease walking and place. Along with neutrality around dogs and people.

A week ago he accompanied Dixie and I on our yearly hiking trip in the upper peninsula. He did fabulous. He did growl a little at one or two people when he was in his bag on a hike but I’m not sure if it was due to him being tired or maybe resource guarding. He also went on his first ferry boat ride and did amazing.

Woody has learned a lot this last week and a half along with be just a puppy. We’ve been working hard with desensitizing him to nail trims, grooming, kids and dogs barking. He’s learning to come when I call his name, sit and he’s in the process of being crate trained which he is doing very well with.

I’d like to introduce my foster pup- Woody.
He’s a 12 week old yorkie, shih tzu mix. He will be with until for a while.
So we will be working on his separation anxiety, and basic commands along with socializing and exposure to grooming tools, people other animals and more.

Auggie is here visiting for the week while his parents are out of town.

Last night he joined me to get some ice cream and did so great. With the hot temps right now we aren’t doing a lot outside so most of our training is refreshing, along with teaching him a new thing or two with luring and free shaping.

Dixie and I went to Home Depot, PetSmart and hobby lobby to do some training and exposure. In home depot we took a lap around then sat up by the doors and watched people come and go same with PetSmart it wasn’t super busy with dogs but we were still able to practice watching and engaging around the one we did see. I didn’t plan on stopping at hobby lobby but had to pick something up and she stuck right next to me. This little dog has come a long way ❤️.

I offer several different services.

Board and Train-

1 week/puppy- $1,250

Where your puppy will come and learn basic commands such as sit, stay, heel, place, and kennel/crate. Your puppy will also be desensitized to different grooming tool’s depending on the breed.
You will need to bring food (enough for a week), a flat collar, a harness, and a 5-6 foot leash.

2 week program - $2,250

In this program your dog will learn 5 basic commands including; Sit, Down, Heel, Recall & Place. This program is great for owner looking to to work on their dogs overall manners and mindset. In this program your dog will be introduced to the prong collar or slip lead and e collar. This program is not for dogs who display more serious behaviors such as intense leash reactivity, fearfulness of strangers, or high anxiety. You dog will need food, a flat collar, and a 5-6 foot leash.

3 week program- $2,750

This program is for dogs who display more serious behaviors such as intense leash reactivity, minor dog aggression, minor separation anxiety, etc. dogs who need a little more help with their overall mindset. We do not work with any human aggression or severe separation anxiety cases. Your dog will learn all of the basics including kenneling up, waiting patiently to go outside/eat, recall, down/sit stays with distance and distraction and much more.

All programs will be concluded with a 1-2 hour go home session where we will transfer all of the things your dog has learned to help the transition home easier. The 3 week program will also include a mid session where half way through the stay we will chat and transfer information and techniques to you.

Boarding

Boarding includes structured 1-2 walks, play and place/relaxation time. As all dogs are crated when unsupervised (e.g., at night and when I am working with other dogs), boarding clients must be crate trained. It is recommended that your dog has trained with me before but it’s not necessary.
