1 hour delay for tomorrows Obedience Trials!

With the current weather forecast, LIGRC has decided to delay the start of their obedience trials tomorrow by one hour. As of now, the doors will open at 8 AM and judging will start at 9 AM. Please note that the only delay in time is the first class. All other classes will follow and play “catch up”.

Please check your email in the morning in case there are other changes.

This week we would like to Congratulate all the amazing dog teams that train & compete at Doggie U that have the amazing opportunity to compete this weekend at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 12th Annual Masters Agility Championship, Conformation Shows & Masters Obedience Championship!

Calling all dog friends!
New Class starting February 11th,2025

"Nothing but Heeling!"
Instructor: Rolissa Nash

Work specifically on your dog walking at your side in "Heel Position". Heeling at your side is the perfect skill when going for walks with your dog, competing in obedience, or aspiring towards rally obedience.

No matter the direction you choose to turn, your dog is at your side in movement with you! Just like a dance partner. No prerequisites, dogs 4 months & older.

This is a 6 week program for $235.00.

We are days away from completing the first month of the year! And what a great start it has been! Here are the submissions for the last WOW wednesday of January!!

4 weekends of trials and amazing progress from our friends, students & staff! Keep up the hard work!

WOW Wednesday 1/29/25:

- Teri & Ilsa (Papillon): Holy Moley! The amazing agility duo received their “C-ATCH 4” at last weekend’s Doggie U CPE Agility trial!

- Carolyn/Rich & Sprite (Havanese): Last Saturday, we took 5-month-old Sprite to the Javits center to represent Havanese at MEET THE BREEDS! She was extremely chill and didn’t seem to mind being petted by 10,000 of her adoring fans. Rich and I were very proud of her.

- Art & Saba (Brittany): Attended last weekend's Doggie U CPE Agility Trial and earned there “CT-ATCH 3” title! And earlier this month attended an AKC Scentwork trial and earned the “SINE” which is a Scent work Interior Novice Elite title!

- Rolissa & Split (Biewer Terrier): Had an amazing time together at last weekend’s Doggie U CPE Agility Trial. Split got a “Q” in Jackpot Level 2, Snooker Level 2, and 2 in Jumpers Level 2!

- Susan & Hope (Pug): Attended their first ever agility trial! At last weekend's Doggie U CPE Agility show Hope accumulated a “Q” in Wildcard level 1, and Colors Level 1. Way 2 Go!

- Denise & Copper (beagle): Did great last weekend at the Doggie U CPE Agility Trial. He ran his first level 5 Standard course and although he did not qualify, he did an amazing job staying with me and going fast. We got 3 out of 6 qualifications!

- Denise & Ozzy (beagle): Did AMAZING in Logan's Tuesday night class where Ozzy is learning the ropes and how to be better with having other dogs around him! Way to go Ozzy!

- John & Storm (Schipperke): Are excited to find out they qualified for the AKC Rally National Championships in our first year of starting Rally. Storm has overcome a lot of obstacles in the 11 months of them doing AKC Rally competitions and John is very thankful for the special connection they built. Big thanks to Mara Bovsun for giving us the breaking news as soon as the list came out!
