Early TBT-2010--Responsible Dog Ownership Day-sponsored by the Baytown Kennel Club, Inc. at the Baytown Bark Park. Several local breed clubs and rescue groups joined in the fun, The BKC discussed when to hold another one in 2024. Public Education grass roots level.

Are you new to showing or not sure how dogs shows work? Our local club or the AKC national website can help.

Dogs who do not yet have a champion title are entered in the classes (“class dogs”). The winner of each class competes for Winners of each s*x.

Winners of each s*x compete alongside Champions (“special dogs”) for Best of Breed.

Best of each Breed compete in the Groups, and First place in each Group competes for Best In Show.

The official term for dog shows is conformation, referring to the act of producing conformity. Conformation has long been among the most popular AKC sports.
