We currently have a waitlist for our Ayam Cemani hatching eggs. If you would like to join it, please message us. Orders are added and filled in the order they are received, therefore wait times will vary accordingly!

I’ve been wondering something lately.

So we chicken people have a hard time telling males from females when they hatch. Except for some that you can tell by characteristics such as feather colors, etc.

But I wonder…..when a hen hatches her own babies, does she know if it’s male or female? Like does she introduce it her daughter or son to the flock? In their own chicken language?

Just something to ponder!

Update: All of the laying hens have found a new flock!! Thank you!

We do have growouts that are 2 1/2 months and 3 1/2 months old. Pullets and Roos.

So Ms. Bellerina has been broody forrrreeeevvvvveeerrr! And not a nice kind of broody!

So if figured I’d let her hatch one egg. I really didn’t have high hopes.

But check out this good momma!!!

Let’s go QUACKERS for QUACKERS!! 🤪

CK Farm and Rescue has done it again!! It’s about duckling time!!

We have 16 Ancona ducklings up for discussion, of course straight run. Cute as can be!

We have:
14 Chocolate’s (1 crested)
1 Black
1 All yellow which will be silver, lavender, or lilac!

What makes them special: Ancona ducks are a rare breed, and a breed designated as “critically endangered” by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.

Also….they are known to be calm and tend to stay close to home. They are excellent layers, producing 210–280 white, cream, or blue eggs annually. Most of ours are from BLUE eggs!

They are so stinkin’ adorable and are ready for their new pond! Hurry! You need them and they will go fast!
