In this episode of As the Coop Turns…

Enter Mr. Red. Mr. Red is a spunky guy who is always looking for mischief. On this day…HE FOUND IT!

It was a bright and beautiful day on the farm. There was a nice breeze and the chickens were enjoying the wind in their feathers! They were waiting patiently for their morning ritual of snacks and food!

As the door to the coop opened slowly with a squeeky sound, everyone was filled with excitement and anticipation of the glorious flow of food soon to bestow them! Everyone, except Mr. Red that is. Mr. Red was planning and scheming as usual.

Out of the corner of his eye, Mr. Red spotted the tiniest of space that was unguarded. Mr. Red took off with a quickness and squeezed through the tiny space. He was off and runnin'! Think Forrest Gump…he was running!

The next thing you knew, nets were a flyin', trees were a treein', and there were bushes with thorns everywhere tearing anything they touched, (except Mr. Red). There was lots of falling, slides and missed attempts, neighbors, friends, and a slew of 4 letter words that were breaking through the wind like a train whistle in the night!

Mr. Red was dashing through trees, ditches, woods, the front porch, by the ducks and all around. You name it, he was there!

Alas, after 4 hours of exhaustion, frustration, and a complete loss of appropriate language by all, Mr. Fred made a last fateful mistake which would put him between a literal rock and a hard spot! He was quickly nabbed as he was trapped, and given a stern talking to by all!

I heard that as he was being hauled away and put back in the coop, he said "yeah, they got me this time. But the next time that door creeks open, I'll be gone again…RUN FORREST RUN, c**k-a-doodle-do!" as he laughed mischievously.

Now, I don't gossip, and you didnt hear this from me, but I will leave the proof right here!

This coming weekend is an exciting day at the farm! We will be processing 40 meat birds! We have raised each one with great nutritious feed, organic, no hormones, no fillers, or antibiotics. The main ingredient is love! Boy we have some big ones!

I know you may ask how we can love them and process them? Well, by caring for them and giving them a great life, however short, and then being so grateful and appreciative for what they will provide for our family and our customers.

In this episode of As the Coop Turns…

One afternoon, on a wild whim, Dominique decided she was gonna go see Mr. Fred, aka Head C**k. So, she fired up the chick mobile and headed to see Mr. Fred! Little huzzie! She was ready, looking both ways and zoom, she was off!!!

Little did she know that Chloe and Fred have been sneaking all around the coop doing all sorts of c**k a doodle doodling!

Chloe was just a mouthing and as Dominique hit the gas peddle, all you heard was Chloe yelling…“YOU BETTER STAY AWAY FROM MY MAAAAANNNN…” as she trailed off. Dominique laughed in response and yelled back…”I CANT CLUCKIN HEAR YOU!”

She left Chloe in the dust still a yelling!!

P.S. Now, I don’t gossip, and you didn’t hear this from me, but I’m gonna leave the proof right here!
