Glenny was ADOPTED!!! He’s come such a long way from when he was found alone outside as a very sick baby. Our dedicated volunteers nursed him back to health and he now he will get to share ALL the snuggles and fun with his amazing new family.

Sweet and goofy HUGGZY is a total mush and the perfect size for a hug! He loves to have his chin scratched and will share his super loud purr motor with you. He is affectionate and playful and we LOVE his little nose freckle. HUGGZY is 5 years old and would like to be the only kitty in your home, but he has no fear of dogs!

Huggzy has a heart condition which needs daily medication and an echocardiogram twice a year. But his condition doesn’t affect his friendly-nature and his BIG purrs.

BROWNIE is a sweet 4 months old terrier mix puppy. He has silky fur and the cutest little face. He will grow to be a medium-large sized dog. This fun pup would make a great walking buddy!

OREO is a sweet and affectionate cat who recently turned 1 year old. He is curious and likes to see what volunteers are up to, with his paws hanging out of his kennel. He will call out with his little meow to make sure you give him lots of love. He ADORES kisses and will give them back. He gets along well with other cats, and would love to have another young cat to play with.

Though he's very outgoing now, this young guy took time to feel comfortable at ARF but after two months of patience he was very comfortable with volunteers when he was in his kennel. After another two months, he's running around our free-roam cat room having a great time. OREO will need a slow and gentle introduction to your home but by the end of his adjustment period, you’ll have a wonderful, loving young cat as a companion. We recommend him for a home with no young children or dogs, and for people who have owned cats before.

Sweet little HONEY will purr and make biscuits for volunteers. She likes to lean her whole body weight into your hand when you give her head scritches. She’s skittish but loves affection and attention from people. HONEY is also very interested and curious about her cat kennel neighbor, she’ll tilt her head back and forth trying to see him and if given the opportunity, she’ll gently pat him with her paw. It’s ridiculously adorable and we think she might like to have a feline friend! She is 4 years old.

HONEY would like a quiet and patient home without dogs or kids.

Hooper, now Igby, was ADOPTED a few weeks ago!!! He got scooped up before he was even posted thanks to word of mouth (and a million photos) from our volunteers! His adopter said he is doing well, happy exploring and playing with all of his new toys and tunnels and his two new kitty sisters. He and kitty sister, Evie, are inseparable!

We don’t understand why this goofy young guy hasn’t been adopted yet! W***Y is super friendly and about 2 years old. He’s sooo curious and always wants to see what you’re doing. He is very silly and LOVES to play by burrowing under a blanket and will even snuggle in for a nap when he’s tired. He also goes bonkers for spring toys. W***Y is very affectionate and doesn’t mind being picked up. He will roll around to convince you to pet him and happily share some enthusiastic head bonks. He would like to be your only cat.

NIKO is a bigggg 8-year-old boy who loves attention and will roll around on his back for ear scritches. We think he likes to keep his eyes as wide open as possible so you can gaze upon his striking green eyes at ALL times. The volunteers LOVE this charming chunk and he always makes us lots of biscuits. He’s a goofball who likes to play and will stand up on his back legs like a human to bop a toy. NIKO also insists on sprawling on the floor in the funniest positions, with curled paws or legs stuck up in the air. He would like to be your only cat in a home with no small children. Come and meet this big smush! We know he will make someone so happy!

Santa Claus visited Beacon yesterday for ARF’s holiday fundraiser! 🎅🏼✨🐶 We had a blast seeing all the dogs (and cat!) dressed up in their festive best. Fundraisers like this make sure the Animal Rescue Foundation can continue to rescue cats and dogs in need. A huge shout out to Noah of Rose Crown Productions for making this amazingly adorable highlight video and Happy Valley Beacon for sharing their courtyard, and of course the ARF volunteers who made it happen.

ADOPTED!!! Episode 4: Well, well, well, FREDDIE has a new best friend. Can you guess who? Perhaps this boy was around dogs more than humans, because he has taken to Poppy like long lost buddies. When Poppy is around, FREDDIE is confident and sweet. We are flabbergasted! Yay, FREDDIE! Yay, Poppy! You make us smile.

ADOPTED!!! Episode 3: FREDDIE has decided that being pet is not so bad. Better to stay safe in the litter box, though. FREDDIE has kept a death stare on everything going on in his room, barely blinking, definitely not sleeping soundly, poor fellow. MUNCHKIN is a special needs senior girl who came to us when her person could no longer care for her. She is an affectionate girl with LOTS to say in her raspy voice (volume up for chatting and purrs!). We’ve had entire conversations with her, and while we may not know exactly what she’s telling us, she is happy to have a friend. There are times she does likes to be left alone, please, but who doesn’t?
