We are just overwhelmed by the donations of litter and exceptional generosity of our shelter family! Thank you all for responding to our plea for litter. It is stacked to the ceiling. Last year MHAA spent LESS than $100 on litter due to our wonderful supporters. That means more funding can be allocated to vet care.

UPDATE: we appreciate the offers of used machines. Our experience has been that non commercial machines don’t last past 6 months. We do an average of ten loads a day and need an efficient and very durable machine. The one we are getting is a discounted commercial one that can support our needs over time. Thanks to all for your support.

Only 20 days into 2025, and we are WITHOUT a washing machine!!! A new one will cost $1800 that is not in our current budget. Please donate and share so we may raise money to cover the cost of a new washer. Thanks!!

Bonded siblings Peep and Hopscotch are ready for their forever home! Hopscotch had his leg amputation and is as fast and playful as ever. Both have thrived in their foster home: playing, exploring, cuddling, begging for extra pets and treats. They like to take their time warming up to new people, but once they trust you, they will be stuck like glue. Peep and Hop also enjoy the company of other cats and some dogs. Let’s find them the purrfect home!
