This summer MHAA suffered the unexpected loss of longtime volunteer and board member Gina Derenzis. Gina was an advocate for all cats and the founder of our socialization program. She went to great lengths to put new, shy, and frightened cats at ease. MHAA recently returned the favor by finding Gina’s senior cat Smokey a forever home. Congratulations and thank you to Smokey’s new fam for loving this sweet older gentleman ❤️
