Dear Mother Nature:

Just to let you know, I did not choose to live in Alaska, which are the current conditions at the sanctuary. Although I'm grateful for you sending all these beautiful animals to the sanctuary, could you please send some Alaskan native volunteers to help care for them. The only requirements are they must love to be frozen solid, and of course love these precious animals. The amount of time it takes to keep these animals alive in these frigid conditions is not reasonable.  Thank you for considering sending help!

UPDATE: I found her, and she's back in her cozy garage with her sister. I made one last attempt to find her before going to bed. I went out the basement door calling for her, and I heard her crying up at the top of our house. I kept calling and she finally surfaced and I grabbed her! (For those who know Prada that isn't usually an easy thing to do, but she gave up without a fight. )❤️ I think she took shelter under our front porch because she couldn't get around the house to get into the garage. Bless her heart, she just ate, and ate, and ate. So glad she's safe and sound. If I haven't mentioned it yet...I HATE SNOW! 😝

We're keeping our spirits high for our cherished outside barn kitty Prada to return home because she hasn't been seen since the storm. We're uneasy someone might have taken her in during the storm, trying to be kind, not realizing she has an entire garage for shelter at home. Our home is located at 11465 Morgansburg Rd. If anyone has taken her in because she is so friendly, please be aware she is eagerly awaited by her sister Gucci and our entire farm family and volunteers back home. We're looking forward to her return hopefully tomorrow, but we want to let our neighbors know we haven't seen her, just in case.

🌟 Winter Break Volunteer Camp at Haven Hills Farm! 🌟

Do your kids want to "kick up their heels" during winter break? 🐴❄️ Join us for our Winter Break Volunteer Camp on Tuesday, December 31st, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM!

Here’s what we have planned for school-aged kids:
✨ Feed and care for our rescued animals
🎃 Smash pumpkins (a farm favorite for the animals!)
🧹 Help with some fun farm chores
🐎 Enjoy a quick volunteer horseback ride

This is a fantastic way for kids to learn, give back, and have a blast at the Sanctuary! 🌾
💵 Donations are always appreciated to help support the Sanctuary with the care and feed of the animals. $30 is our suggested donation, but we are appreciative of any contribution to our Sanctuary.

BARN RAISING-Day 3 COMPLETION

As the sun sets on our spectacular new run-in shed for our horses, I'm reminded of the exceptional professionalism displayed by TEEL Construction, Inc. throughout this process. Their punctuality, quality work, and commitment to meeting deadlines are a testament to their excellence. This is the kind of company you want working for you.

I'm still in awe that this project has become a reality, but thanks to the efforts of Angi Jasionowski, who spearheaded this endeavor, rallied the troops, and helped guide the project to completion. Thank you to all the TEEL workers, Bob, Leslie, the architects, and of course the talented construction workers - your dedication has made this project a success!

BARN RAISING-Day 2 (continued)

Walls are up and we’re just waiting for the amazing crew from Teel Construction Company to put the roof on tomorrow, and then we’ll have a real, live, official run-in shed! 🎉

As you can see, the "Building Inspector" made a surprise visit today and was absolutely "eggcited" to check out the progress. 🐓👷‍♂️ Huge thanks to everyone involved—stay tuned for the big reveal! 🛠️

Barn Raising: Day One

We are beyond grateful to Teel Construction for their incredible generosity in volunteering to build a new run-in shed in our big pasture. This amazing act of charity will make a world of difference for our horses, providing them with shelter and access to hay, no matter the weather conditions.

Words can't express our gratitude for the hardworking crew at Teel who are taking time out of their busy schedules to help turn this dream into a reality. Your kindness and dedication mean so much to us and our sanctuary family.
