First incubator is on lockdown! The polish coop didn’t do so well these first few times so I’m down to just a dozen in lockdown. The marans have a high fertility rate! The Easter eggers and polish will hopefully improve with the warmer weather.

Very excited to announce that Dolly had a little ewe lamb tonight!! Lambing season is officially over for us! We will announce her name soon 😁

First incubator of the season is set! Due to hatch around Easter. We are starting the waitlist for rent-a-chick this year! These should be Marans, Easter eggers, olive eggers, and polish!

Vaccinated the sheepies before lambing! We “bumped” the girls also and definitely felt something in Lucy! Dolly also has a firm belly in front of her bag. So hoping we have two lamb in the next couple weeks! Getting the barn all set up for lambing pens. Our barn kitty “Betty” was helping the entire time.

Anyone want to take any guesses on if and how many lambs we might be expecting? If the ram did his job, we could potentially be seeing lambs as early as the end of the month! Comment your guesses for how many you think each girl is going to have.

Our Muscovy duckling that needed help hatching was born with contracted tendons. Little one hatched out almost a week after it’s siblings. So we stepped in to give it the best chance at life! Some daily work on stretching out its legs and toes have helped to get it more mobile.
