They did their temperament test today and we’re absolutely fabulous anyone who is interested please give us a call at 703-594-1028. They are six weeks old tomorrow, so they are available to come home in two weeks. Please meet.

Today we are sad to announce the passing of one of the Original Caring Angels Therapy Dogs Jazz Madsen; aka Jazzy Boy, Jazzy, Jazz the spaz and "chief marketing officer". He was with us from the start when we moved here from Las Vegas and started our business and non-profit in Virginia. Jazz was a great and loved pet, a great demonstration dog, training assistant and an even better Therapy Dog working in the community. From dog safety with elementary schools to kids reading to dogs and even helping us when working with dogs that needed help with socialization, Jazz was a real champ, enthusiastic, happy and great with everyone and every dog; even acting as referee from time to time when dogs had a tiff. He will be sorely missed within our family and joins the ranks of our other loved and lost K-9 Caring Angels Therapy and Service Dogs.

Another sweet pup we helped prepare for her new home. She started with us pretty nervous around people she didn't know coming from a tough situation. In the end she was comfortable with people, responsive to commands and is now living her best life. FOACAS's Mindy and John do great work saving dogs and matching them with good families.

From her new family, "She’s doing great. Easiest rescue we’ve ever had. Got a new crate. Slept on Tessa’s bed all night no accidents no problems. Tessa is over the moon with this dog as we all are she changed her name to Star since we’ve already had one Emma before. Thanks for checking in . She’s doing great."

Volunteering is the act of giving one's time and effort to help others or support a cause without being paid. It often involves assisting nonprofit organizations, schools, hospitals, or other community groups who rely on volunteers to accomplish their missions. We are truly blessed for the amazing volunteers we have.

We welcomed new members to our wonderful growing family of Therapy and Service dogs.

We also took the opportunity to recognize handlers and dogs that have been volunteering with us for 1+ year and 5+ years. Statically a person only dedicates 2 years to volunteering, and in the world working with dogs 5+ is huge. These teams were with us before Covid and stuck it out through Covid and are still here! Thank you to the following teams that have been with us for over 5 years!
