Please help....I can't even believe people steal pets ...WTF...UNBELIEVABLE

Dog reportedly stolen in Dover.

Duke large adult male ~8 years old. Wearing a brown collar, neutered and microchipped. Missing from 4600 block of B Main Drive in Dover. Believed to be taken out of his backyard.

If you found this dog, or know his whereabouts, please call 302-597-8963 ASAP! His family misses him and wants him home!

So imagine.....your pet is sick, in distress, needs asap medical attention and its a weekend or after hours. What do we do? Exactly, we panic to find a close vet, if your lucky to live close to one, or we drive a distance and pray our pet makes it until we arrive. Then....here's the thing, all facilities want money upfront or before services and the pet parent is not permitted to accompany their pet while in distress and I ask....WHY NOT?? Owners should have the RIGHT to be and stay with their pets whether at a vet or groomer. Many pets pass alone because of not having the right and privilege to be with their pets. Pets are family members not dollar signs. We as oet owners take care of our pets no matter what and if we as pet owners didn't need a vet or groomer than guess what.....vets and groomers and other pet facilities WOULD NOT HAVE A JOB OR GET PAID. And that includes pet insurance companies too. Many seniors and others are still paying for bills after their pets have passed. This needs to STOP. PETS ARE FAMILY, NOT DOLLAR SIGNS. Just asking for opinions because I WILL pass a bill to take care of ALL PETS...NO MATTER WHAT.
