We are a small family run farm in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. For over a decade we have raised top quality Rocky Mountain horses with superb bloodlines, correct conformation, a smooth as silk gait, and a great disposition that the Rocky Mountain Horse is so famous for. We strive to breed for the best characteristics of the Mountain Horses while preserving the old foundation bloodlines that thes

e great horses were built upon. When you start deviating from the basics you start to fall away from greatness. We want our horses to be amazing in the show ring, but more importantly we want them to excel on the trails. We have grown to love this beautiful breed and we want to share our Mountain Horse passion with others!

One of our foals growing up and doing big things! CF’s Black Voodoo is a 2 year old son of Sonny Bono and out of CF’s Voodoo Queen. He will now be learning how to be a great therapy horse and help kids, adults, and veterans in Arkansas! We look forward to watching him develop and impact the lives of so many. Congratulations to CF’s Black Voodoo and his owners!

She has been back home for a few weeks now, but we are happy to announce that Lady Gray is now back home. She is sired by Jocko Bean and out of Confederate Gray. Our sweet girl is 21 years old this year and we will be checking her soon to see if she will be having a Sonny Bono foal next year. Lady is the dam of one of our favorite mares CF’s Liberty Bell.

Had a new baby girl born this morning. She is sired by Sonny Bono and out of Mississippi Queen. This is one of our top crosses we have done several times in the past that always turn out to be fantastic. We love the conformation, personality, and beautiful gait on each of these foals. Baby girl was born with a white butt to make sure there was no question on whether or not she was indeed a red roan. Now to come up with a name for this keeper.

It has been a very busy week with foals arriving. On Sunday our treasured Kentucky Mountain mare Spiders Final Legacy delivered a gorgeous bay roan stud col sired by SF’s Royal Blue. Then this morning we woke up to a chocolate stud c**t potentially roan sired by Sonny Bono and out of CF’s Rocket Kelly who is sired by J. Lee’s Rock-It and out of Chief Kelly (Barlow Chief). Making Rocket a half sister to our late stallion Zorro. Pictures to come soon. For now I will post pictures of Sire and Dam. I do not have a picture of CF’s Rocket Kelly at this moment.

Got a new baby girl on the farm this morning. She’s a silver grulla with 4 white feet and a blaze just like her sire CF’s Captain America who is a direct son of Choco Dock! Her dam is CF’s Liberty Bell who is a granddaughter of Jocko Bean and Spamish Sundown. We have high hopes for this big girl!

This baby boy is a week old today. He’s sired by CF’s Ace Ventura (Chocolate Venture x J-Mar’s Sugar Baby) and out of CF’s Deja Blue (Sonny Bono x Nick’s Little Nettie). Not only is this boy chocolate but he may also carry the roan gene! He’s a gaiting up a storm and going to make someone an awesome riding horse. He is looking for a new home.

Finally got around to getting pictures of this pretty girl. She’s sired by CF’s Ace Ventura (Chocolate Venture x J-Mar’s Sugar Baby) and out of CF’s Lonesome Dove who is a daughter of Zorro. Her mother wouldn’t cooperate so I could get a video of her gaiting but she’s going to be a stunner! Just look at those white eye lashes!

Second foal of the year was born for us this morning. A gorgeous chocolate c**t who may also be roan. He’s sired by CF’s Ace Ventura (Chocolate Venture x J-Mar’s Sugar Baby) and out of CF’s Deja Blue (Sonny Bono x Nick). Will get pictures soon.

Our first foal of the year arrived on March 19. The foal is a beautiful, big, thick, chocolate filly! She’s sired by CF’s Ace Ventura and out of CF’s Lonesome Dove who is sired by Zorro. This is Venturas very first foal and if this filly is any indication they are all going to be exactly what we were hoping for. Not to mention she was already gaiting soon after birth! We are officially less than a month away from our first foal arriving. It is sired by CF’s Ace Ventura who is out of J-Mar’s Sugar Baby and sired by Chocolateate Venture and out of CF’s Lonesome Dove who is sired by our late stallion Zorro. This will be Venturas first foal and a third generation foal we have on our farm. We couldn’t be more excited for this foal to arrive! The color of the foal will either be red chocolate or chocolate.

With foaling season right around the corner for us and already started for some I was looking through some old pictures and found the baby pictures of some of our foals. Each year when our foals are born we hope and dream of what they may be one day. This is what I love the most about raising foals. The dream of what they may be one day and what they accomplish. The knowing that the horse you take that victory lap on is one you bred for, was there for the birth, and raised just makes it all so much better! Down the trail or on the rail I love our foals!

Let two of the babies out to play this evening. The apricot dun is sired by GS Nitro and out of CF’s Liberty Bell. She’s going to be a huge filly. Already towering over the rest of the weanlings. Then there is my baby boy Elvis who is red roan and sired by the incredible Elite’s Rockstar and out of CF’s Hellfire.

We lost a member of our family yesterday and it’s still hard to believe he’s gone. Zorro will forever remain in our hearts. He is the horse that started our love for the Rocky Mountain breed. He gave us so much joy and fun over the many years he spent with us both in the show ring and on the trails. He was a true ambassador for our farm and the breed. Anyone who met him will tell you how his sweet nature and smooth gait won over their hearts. He will always remain the backbone that built this farm and will be forever missed. It will never feel the same walking into our barn and his face not being the first one to greet you down the aisle. Rest easy old friend and know that you have left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. You were truly a once in a lifetime friend!

WHAT A NIGHT!!! Canyon Falls Stables stallions are taking home two KMSHA World Championships! CF’s Ace Ventura won the Amateur Trail Championship with David Moore and CF’s Captain America won the Open Park Pleasure Championship with Jason Creech! Couldn’t be more proud of these stallions and their trainer on all their accomplishments. Jason has done a fantastic job and we are so thankful to him and his family for everything!

PS I won 5 place honors on CF’s Mighty Aphrodite in Amateur Classic Championship in a huge class! Proud of my girl!

Finally got around to taking some conformation pictures of SF’s Royal Blue! This stunning stallion is a 4 year old son of Sonny Bono and out of Artemis Spirit. Roy is a homozygous blue roan with no red gene. He’s as sweet and gentle natured as he is gorgeous. He is standing stud in Beattyville, KY at Canyon Falls Stables

JB is a 5 year old chocolate roan stallion with no red gene. Finally had the time to take some conformation pictures of him. His mane is so thick and his tail drags a good foot on the ground. I think he looks just like Sonny Bono! JB will be standing at stud in Beattyville, KY.

First c**t of the year was born on April 16. He is sired by 2022 RMHA Show Pleasure International Grand Champion Elite’s Rockstar and out of 2021 RMHA AOT Show Pleasure International Champion CF’s Hellfire! He has been appropriately named CF’s King of Rock and we will call him Elvis. Elvis is a red roan.

Roy is a 3 year old homozygous blue roan with no red gene. He is sired by the great Sonny Bono and out of Artemis Spirit. Royal Blue will be attending the 2022 RMHA International from September 6-10 at the KY Horse Park. Come meet Roy in barn 8.

Our handsome Sonny Bono getting some exercise today. It’s been a busy spring for this boy and he isn’t done yet. One of his foals that we are extremely excited about and will be born any day now will be out of Little Patch of Velvet and be a full sibling to CF’s Hellfire who won the 2021 RMHA AOT Show Pleasure International Championship and the 2021 NMHA AOT Classic Pleasure World Grand Championship!

We love these two babies! CF’s Sugar Daddy is sired by Sonny Bono and out of J-Mar’s Sugar Baby. Then our little girl is sired by the great Peg’s Paco and out of Nick’s Little Nettie.
