Quick glimpse of Building stay distances and then resetting into a heel position when I felt like he needed a break from the stays.
Just like people dogs can get bored repeating the same thing over and over again if you're working on a behavior it's okay to switch it up to keep your dog engaged it can actually help them learn quicker as well. Yes they learn through repetition but every brain can get mentally exhausted through overstimulation and check out.
Always end your training on a high note if you feel they're burning out get one more good follow through and take a break ☺️🐾🐶🐾

Lucy's has 13 more days with us and right now her biggest struggles are her natural instincts to follow a scent and her negative habits of demanding attention by hopping up and barking (which has lessened drastically) the next 2 weeks will be drill time trying to hone all her skills 🐾🐶🐾

Here's a little video of Lucy and Runa playing like they've known each other for years when they had just met 🤣 Runa doesn't like every dog she meets but her and Lucy just clicked and Miss Lucy surprised her when she was running circles around her (and through her and under her) lol 😂 We try to bring as much fun and enjoyment to your pups stay in our home as we can and play time is a big aspect of that one, to help work on Socializing and two this is what truly helped Lucy fully decompress and I'm here for it 😊

Meet miss Lucy! This adorable Beagle pup is with us for basics and some problem behaviors for a whole 30days she's on week two and improving more each day I will be honest the first week was a little rough for her she had some anxiety and trouble decompressing. We strive to provide positive environments for all your pups to help them have an easier time and as much fun in their training as possible. Learning should be fun for them once she finally decompressed you can see how she enjoys learning and working I have some more to share of her but wanted to introduce her with this little clip while I had time to sit and edit 😊 look for more soon! Working Bodie out at a local park with Rosie of @royal_rovers_training while we use each other as distractions for the dogs we're working with. It's so rare to be friends with other people in our field I appreciate having her to bounce ideas off of and for things like this outings with our board and trains or day trainers or extra hands or distractions in a private session for aggression cases or something. @royal_rovers_training also runs an amazing doggie daycare Tuesdays and Thursdays out of her home in Banning. It's an awesome and safe way to socialize your vaccinated pup and adult dogs. It's safer than dog parks because all dogs are fully vaccinated and temperament tested. Here's more missy! We are starting her out in public around distractions to work on her basics. Its definitely a challenge for her that she is overcoming like a champ! Since she hasn't really left home since arriving we are starting her on a very low distraction area. All the new smells and sounds were definitely challenging her ability to focus and follow through so we did some very basic leash work, heels, Focus, sit & down stays and she did awesome and definitely left much more confident than when she arrived. Excited to see how much further she can go on her training journey!
