🍭Halloween is quickly approaching, is your pet ready? 🍬Here are a few tips on ensuring that your pet is safe!
1. Keep candy out of reach (especially chocolate)! Sugar free candy includes Xylitol which is VERY toxic to pets. 🤢
2. Wires, decorations and candy wrappers can become hazards for pets. Tin foil and cellophane become very dangerous if swallowed. 😧
3. Be careful around lit pumpkins. Pets may have a curiosity about pumpkins and accidentally knock them over creating a fire hazard. 🎃
4. If your pet gets stressed with trick or treaters, consider turning off your front porch light until trick or treating is done. You can also keep your pets in a safe separate room if it will keep them calm. 🍭
5. Costumes! Try on your pet safe costumes before leaving the house. If your pet seems stressed, find an alternative or consider not dressing them up. An uncomfortable costume may cause your pet stress. 👻

✨NVC - Employee of the Quarter✨ Congratulations, Victoria! 👏🏼

Victoria makes a year this month with NVC! 📅🩷She has been chosen as our employee of the quarter for her amazing personality and dedication to learning. Since starting with NVC the laughter can be heard from outside the building when Victoria is around. 🤣 She is always willing to help out a fellow team member with any task and jumps at the opportunity to learn something new! She is currently enrolled in school and plans to become a veterinarian one day. 🩺 Her go-getter attitude is highly valued here at Calder and we sure are lucky to have such a kind spirit to lift us all up on those harder days.

We know the closure of SETX Animal Emergency Clinic might be causing some concern. But there’s no need to panic! NVC - Nederland is here to fill the gap and ensure your pets receive the emergency care they need.

Starting 📅September 1st, our goal is for NVC - Nederland to be your go-to for emergency care:

✨Friday - Sunday: 24 hours
✨Monday - Thursday: Until 12am
✨Holidays: 24 hours

In August, we’ll be available for emergencies Thursday - Sunday until 8pm. We’ve got you covered! Don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any emergency situations. Stay safe and give us a call if you need us. We’re here for you and your pets!
