We are excited to announce our 2024 Year-End awards dinner. We will have a full taco dinner. We had a crazy schedule this year with so many show cancellations, but we are able to make an exception and give buckles to everyone who participated in at least 3 of our shows. This will be a stretch for our budget, so we are asking that our wonderful members bring something to donate to the raffle, and cash for a 50/50 drawing. With your help, we can celebrate our rider's accomplishments, and get 2025 off to a good start! Please fill out the RSVP by Thursday, November 14th.

CVHA will have our board meeting on Monday, October 28th at 6pm. We will be at Chili's restaurant in Beaumont. Please come and help up plan for our awards and next year! Let us know you'll be coming so we can save a seat.

Our last show of the season is here on Saturday, August 31st. The extra event is Speed Barrels. You need to register by 9pm on Friday night because it is VERY time consuming to add riders the morning of the show. (We apologize that the rain date had to be Labor Day weekend.... Melody)

We had a wonderful show on Saturday! I wanted to let our riders know to look for their ratings after Wednesday. Good afternoon CVHA family! As I’m sure you all have heard, Melody and Susan announced this will be their last year of gymkhana. We are extremely sad to see them go but completely understand!

They are asking for fellow members to step up to become board members to hopefully fulfill Melody and Susan’s shoes. The ladies will take those willing to step up under theirs wings to learn all the operations of CVHA. As well as, willing to help answer questions in 2025.

We are sad to announce that we have to cancel our March 26th Gymkhana make-up date. Due to the recommendation of the state veterinarian, no horse events should be held through March 31st. Because there are three gymkhana clubs in our region now, there are no make-up dates available so we are changing our year-end requirements so that riders only have to attend 5 of 7 shows in order to qualify for year-end awards. Our next shows are scheduled for April 9th and April 30th. See you there! (please like and share this post so that more of our friends are sure to see it)

March 12th 2022 Gymkhana Cancelled... Rescheduled to July 30th

Due to the recommendation from the California State Veterinarian, and CSHA, our March 12 Gymkhana show has been cancelled in an abundance of caution in regards to the EHV-1 outbreak. This outbreak started almost a month ago in Thermal, and horses are still coming down with it. I've attached a link to a VERY informative article that helped me understand more about it. - Melody

We are sad to announce that our gymkhana show scheduled for February 12th is cancelled. The Park District is in the midst of a water line/electrical project and they informed CVHA this evening that they will not be finished in time for us to hold the show. We are bummed because the weather will be the best ever for February!!! Our next show will be March 12th and the rain date for this show will be March 26th.

Edited to add: Our February show has been cancelled because the Park District did not finish a construction project in time for us to use the arena on February 12th. The make-up date for this show is March 26th.
Only six of our 8 shows are required in order to qualify for a year-end award. And if you are not able to ride the entire day, as long as you pay for the full day and ride in at least one event, it qualifies as a show. I hope that if you have any questions or comments, you will feel free to text me, Melody Flores, at 909-645-5649. Sometimes facebook message notifications don't come through and we don't always check the email regularly.

We are looking forward to our awards dinner tomorrow! Bring your appetite, because we have pork tamales and Asadero's chicken and carne asada tacos. There will be caramel apples, cookies, and pumpkin pie for dessert. We can use your help setting up starting at 2pm. Also, see the comments below for some of the specific needs we have. Just respond to the comment if you are able to do that job for us tomorrow.

Our last show of the season will be this Saturday, August 14th! The extra event is figure 8. Please see the photo below and FYI, most riders enter through the gate at the opposite end of the arena. The timing light is in the middle of the course! We will start our flag ceremony a little after 8:30 and leadline and graduates will follow.

A couple of updates for our July 31st show:
Our catering truck lady has not been feeling well and will not be there tomorrow. We're trying to get another taco truck, but he has not committed yet so we are unsure if there will be lunch available tomorrow! We are so sorry! If someone has connections for another lunch source, please let us know.

We will start the flag ceremony and rider's meeting a little after 8:30, so leadline and graduate should be ready to ride at 8:45 Regular riders will follow.
