I will begin to post helpful hints, answer questions and post some healthy recipe's for our Best Buddies beginning in September. I have been busy visiting my grandson, working on some minor health issues and catching up on everything on my homestead. The time has finally come. I will complete my training schedule but I am no longer taking on new clients. Thank you to everyone that have supported me and my business through the years, I am truly grateful for each and every client. Every dog was a learning experience and I am humbled and honored for each dog and client I worked with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Neutered male found on Center Street near Mackie Street in Beaver Dam. Had a collar and leash attached. Phone number on tag is disconnected. No microchip.

Training Tip: Don't nag your best buddy, chances are they have heard you and are working through the behavior you just asked of them. Give them time to think through the request and then when they respond reward with a treat, praise or something they find valuable. For instance, they want to go outside, but you just asked them to sit, when they have responded to that request you can then reward with "good job", "good boy/girl" or a simple "yes" and then open the door to let them out. That open door is really their reward for responding to your request. The more you rehearse this simple rule, the better and faster they will become at responding to you. No need to yell, no need to nag, they have heard you and they will respond, just give them time to work it through.
