If you set out a glue trap, or put out poison, you and I are completely different people (in this area). I used to think like you too...Such critters were a pest, a nuisance, and their lives were worthless. Heck...I would have shoo'd a hungry cat out of my yard. Then, on August 22 2010 God completely changed my heart, and I've never looked at animals that way again. They are little living creatures....Why choose such a torturous way of death? Maybe today God will change YOUR heart. 💕💕💕

Often unintended victims get caught in them too....

We can't stress this enough!

I’m Joey, my mom died this morning. My mom had my littermates and I under a shed. A lady stole my 2 littermates which scared my mom. She moved me to keep me safe, and she was the best mom ever. A week ago somebody saw my mom again and noticed she then had a prolapse and needed help. I’m not sure as to the true level of effort made to help my mom, but yesterday volunteers with Aunt Helen’s Cats in Need learned about my mom and set out on an emergency mission to save my mom. They had a vet lined up to help my mom, and Foxy’s lined up help me while my mom healed. Sadly once my mom was trapped and evaluated by a vet it was determined my moms uterine prolapse was too severe, already necrotic, and it was best to end her extreme suffering and help her over the rainbow bridge to find peace.

I’ll miss my mom, she was a good mom. I also miss my littermates. I’m scared right now, but I’ll learn soon that I’m safe. When will people learn to spay/neuter though? Spay could’ve saved my mom’s life.

The prolapse didn’t occur weeks ago when the first kittens were taken from the nest. Had the finder done the right thing and trapped my mom, kept my litter together, my mom would’ve been spayed before the prolapse occurred.

My mom’s name was Aya. If you find a nest of kittens, please think of my mom and I. Here’s what you should do:

1. Don’t disturb our nest.
2. Contact area reputable rescues for advice.
3. Do not separate our family! Don’t remove some kittens and leave others.
4. Under the guidance of a rescue, us kittens could be used as bait, my mom trapped, our entire family could’ve been brought to safety, my mom spayed and vetted, all my littermates could’ve been vetted, vaccinated, and fixed, as necessary.
5. Don’t ever leave moms like mine behind. Their health matters too.

Today I became an orphan. I’m a lucky orphan, but not sure an orphan is ever truly lucky. I’m safe. I’ll be ok. I’m scared. I’ll be ok.

Please don’t leave moms behind. Please don’t steal kittens from nests.

Thank you Aunt Helen's Cats In Need for trying so hard to save my mom’s life. I’m safe at Foxy’s because of you.

Please spay/neuter any cat you feed. Prevent this suffering.

Please do not ever remove kittens from a nest without a rescues guidance.

Please don’t ever leave the moms behind.

We're home. Didn't get the kitten. An alternative plan was started.

I can't thank you enough for today. You backed us!!!

I'm laying in bed with 3 kittens...one unadoptable, one with a hairline fracture that's almost completely healed, one with congenital hip defects from inbreeding.... this rescue was birthed in my heart, but it's YOU that makes it possible. I'd love to thank DC publicly, but I know that she wouldn't want that.... thanks also to all of you that have covered our upcoming Alley Cat bills. Truly you people are precious, and Gail and I will keep going out and trapping as long as you continue to financially back our vet bills. Without you this is not possible.

Attention newcomers and those that are curious...

I posted today in various Facebook groups in an attempt to raise funds. It's truly dire.

I'm heading out with Gail to trap in the rain and I cannot answer the 50 questions scattered in the groups.. just no time.

We are a Beaver County nonprofit feline rescue completely staffed by volunteers and foster based. There is no brick and mortar building (yet), we operate out of our homes and a storage unit.

Our Amazon Needs List is pinned to the top of our page and remains current. Our Chewy registry needs updated (I have no time). Currently GoFundMe is the best route for monetary donations.

Please browse our page. We're real, actively serving our communities, and we try sharing updates when we have time.

🆘🆘🆘We absolutely need help from our community!!!

We are in REAL trouble. November 20 a litter of kittens is scheduled for their spays, neuters, vaccinations....and we don't have enough money to pay their bill. We have FIFTEEN cats waiting for us to have funds for TNR... there will be 100 by spring if we don't get them to the vet!

Donations have become stagnant. Traffic to our page has dwindled. Adoption applications are growing cobwebs.

I need to be very clear with you....

We are a feline rescue completely staffed by volunteers. We have personally purchased those traps that we use in our communities. We use our time, resources, and vehicles to serve within our communities by controlling the community cat population through TNR and adoption. We are each doing this as an uncompensated volunteer.

If community donations do not come in, this work will stop.

There is no money left. If you have been considering donating, the time is now...the need is extremely urgent.

Please help us continue to do this work.... because without your support this is not possible.

Our GoFundMe will continue to run. It's the easiest and swiftest way to get funds for the rescue.

Every family that has pets understands the costs associated with making sure their loved ones have the proper food. Like everything else, prices have gone up, but we continue to have needs within the rescue and food is always a necessity. The days are getting shorter, so it's more likely that you'll be driving at dawn and dusk when wildlife is naturally more active.

October through November are the most common months of the year for wildlife collisions when driving. Please be cautious when driving, especially at dawn and dusk. Here are a few tips to help you and wildlife stay safe.

1. Reduce your speed when you can. This allows more reaction time for you and wildlife.
2. Scan the roadway and surrounding land for wildlife that may cross the road.
3. Avoid distracted driving.
4. When safe and appropriate to do so, use your high beams to spot wildlife near roadways sooner.
