Romans’ Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization serving Beaver County, PA and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to rescuing medium and large breed senior dogs that are unwanted, abandoned, abused, ill or stray. We accept senior dogs that are surrendered by their owners for various reasons – divorce, new baby, moving, new job, can’t afford food or medical expenses, etc. We also w
ork with and support fellow rescues and community animal advocate groups to provide a better life for homeless dogs. Each dog at Romans’ Rescue lives with our family in our home as their safe haven until a permanent home is found or until their time on this earth is over. By living in our home, we are able to learn more about each dog, which leads to finding the best homes possible. Prior to adoption, all dogs will receive vaccinations, will be spayed/neutered, will be microchipped, will be heartworm and Lyme tested, and will be on heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. Dogs are placed in permanent homes after a thorough application process. We strive to find the perfect family match for each dog based on temperament and their necessary care. We do not adopt on a first come first served basis, but based rather on the best match of dog and family. Each approved family will be educated on the necessary care and expense of their new family member. Since our rescue facility is our home, the administrative cost of the rescue is quite low. Being as such, we are able to use nearly every penny donated directly for the care of the dogs. We rely on the support of the community through monetary donations and volunteer hours.
