One of the first questions people ask when they inquire about a dog is, what's wrong with him? Most dogs are at the pound for one simple reason....someone gave up on them. People decide they don't want a dog, don't have time, have a child or want to spend their money on something else. The dog is the first thing to go.
One the other side of the pound are the people who look for the forgotten, the discarded and abandoned. They see the true potential behind the shy or scared dog. People who take the extra time to help a pound dog are a special breed in their own. They do not mind if a dog doesn't come to them at first, gives a distrustful growl or hides in the corner. They know the dog may have not been treated right in the past and know they can offer them a better home.
We are on the lookout for those people! People who see our dogs for the silly, loving and goofy beings they truly are meant to be. Our dogs deserve a chance for a better life.
This Saturday is our Clear the Shelter event. Come out to visit our dogs and see if your new family member is looking for you. Several of our dogs will be sponsored adoptions. We will be advertising them later this week. Stay tuned for more information!
