Bath and Full Groom packages include all of the above as well as:
All-over clipper haircut
30 minutes hand sc******ng
Our packages are all inclusive and the same price whether you choose to have a specific service included or not. Some breeds do not have hairy paw pads, or require face trims, and their prices already reflect this. Pricing is based on coat type and weight and reflects the time needed to complete a service. All services are done at the discretion of the groomer based on their observations of how your pet is tolerating the service. If your pet is too stressed to safely complete a service, such as grinding the nails, we will not perform that service. If you do not want us to perform a service, such as ear hair removal or a**l gland expression, please inform your groomer of this at drop-off. BATHING REQUIREMENT
Dogs who are receiving full grooming in our salon are required to be bathed and blow dried as part of the service. Dogs who are receiving hair cuts require having their coat professionally fluff dried and treated before cutting for a quality finished groom. At this time the dog services we offer without bathing are:
Nail trim/grind
Nail polish
Ear cleaning and hair removal
Paw pads/feet trim
Sanitary trim
Light face trim
Teeth Brushing
A**l gland expression
These services are stand-alone and priced individually
DEMATTING
We do not demat or brush out coats that have extensive matting. For the safety of your pet, dogs with extensive matting must have the matting removed by shaving with a blade short enough to pass safely underneath the matting. Dematting tools are sharp and easily cut pets as well as ripping the hair out from the follicle, which is painful and traumatic for your pet. Over-brushing with slicker brushes or coat rakes damages the coat and can burn the skin. Every effort to safely brush out small mats and save coat length will be given. Dematting and brushing that requires more time than the 30 minutes included in our groom packages will be charged at a rate of $45 per hour, charged by the minute. APPOINTMENT ARRIVAL
Our groomers service multiple dogs each day and set appointment times that allow them to have an appropriate amount of time to care for your pet. Please attempt to arrive on time for your appointment. If your arrival is 15 minutes or later past your appointment time, your groomer may not be able to accept your pet, as it puts every scheduled groom behind for the day. If a groomer is able to squeeze you in late, there is a $10 late fee for the first fifteen minutes, and $1 per minute after that. If you are late your appointment will take longer than usual to complete, as we cannot push back the services for customers who arrived on time. CANCELLATION AND NO SHOWS
Size Matters Dog Grooming provides reminder texts and emails as a courtesy to our clients. Please ensure that we have your correct contact information, and inform us of any changes. We require 24 hours notice if you are unable to make your appointment, to allow us time to fill the slot from our wait list. If 24 hours notice is not given, a late cancellation fee of $25 must be paid before rebooking. After the second occurrence of late cancellation or no-show you will be asked to prepay when booking, nonrefundable in case of late cancellation or no show. PAYMENT AND TIPS
Payment is due at time of service by credit card or cash payment. We do not accept checks. Tips are appreciated but not required. FLEA POLICY
If fleas are found on your dog they will go straight into the tub for a flea bath with an additional fee of $10. We do not treat fleas on cats. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
Your groomer will do their best to go over our services and your expectations at drop-off. Sometimes the condition of your dogβs coat, their health, or behavior make it impossible for us to safely meet expectations. We will not put the health and safety of your pet at risk. If you are not happy with your petβs groom, please let us know at pick-up so we can make any changes or touch ups at that time. If you contact us within 48 hours of grooming we will do our best to make changes or touch ups. After 48 hours, or if you request drastic changes to what was initially requested, we require a new appointment and service charge. INJURIES
All of our staff are pet first aid and CPR certified, and every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety and well being of your pet while they are in our care. There is always the possibility of skin irritation, cuts, or nicks during the grooming process. Matting or behavior issues increase this possibility. Such injuries are not caused by a groomer being careless, but by the severity of the matting or unpredictable behavior of your pet. We do a skin and coat inspection of your pet upon arrival, and do our best to inform you of any issues noted. Your groomer will call you should any additional issues arise during the grooming process. Matted coats can hide hot spots, hematomas, infection, and other conditions that only become noticeable once the matting is removed. Groomers are not liable for preexisting conditions. Once matting is removed, blood-flow returns to areas under the skin that were previously encumbered by matting, and dogs may excessively lick or chew at these areas, causing irritation and hot spots. Your groomer will explain any known issues upon picking up your pet, and will point out any injuries or irritation that became apparent during the grooming process and how to care for them at home and discuss with your veterinarian, but it is not unusual for issues to arise hours later. Please call us promptly with any concerns. REACTIVE DOGS
Size Matters Dog Grooming specializes in grooming reactive dogs who cannot safely be around other pets. We have dedicated times for servicing reactive dogs. If your dog requires one-on-one care, there is a $25 fee for this service in addition to the price of groom. All dog-reactive pets are serviced on Sunday straight through as an express service as the only pet present on the premises, and must be picked up promptly at the time of of their completion. We will do our best to give you an estimated pick up time when you drop off. While we are able to accommodate dog-reactive pets, pets who show signs of unprovoked aggression towards people will not be accepted for any services for the safety and well being of our staff and customers. WE DO NOT GROOM AGGRESSIVE PETS. We have one staff member specializing in reactivity, and available appointments fill up weeks in advance. Size Matters staff thoroughly screen all reactive clients prior to booking, and reactive pets may be required to do a scheduled meet and greet with their groomer for a behavior and temperament evaluation prior to booking a grooming appointment. Meet and greet appointments require a deposit of $10, paid in advance, which applies toward their first grooming appointment if we can accommodate them and is otherwise non-refundable. If aggressive behavior or high stress levels are noted during the meet and greet we are not a good fit for their grooming needs. Referrals to an appropriate veterinarian groomer or dog behaviorist will be provided. If a second staff member is required to assist during a groom, a special handling fee of $25 will apply. If a second staff member is required to assist during a walk-in service, including nail trims, a $10 special handling fee will apply.
