Riverside Sunset Labrador Retrievers Our main goal is English style labs that excel in the conformation ring as well as in the field.

Health testing, conformation, and temperament are our priorities to produce excellent representations of the Labrador breed.

Draco and I went to the Back Bay Knotts Island Retriever Club hunt test this weekend and he picked up his final two passes for his junior hunt title! He was such a great boy❤️ I can’t wait to get started on senior level work with him this winter, but for now he’s getting a little vacation for all his hard work. Thanks to all of the amazing judges and the club for a very well run event and beautiful ribbons! I know I have lots of messages, calls, and emails to get to and I promise I’m working on it!

I’ve been waiting on these pictures to post about it and they are finally here! 11/2-11/3 we were at the Old Dominion Retriever Club hunt test with Amari and Draco. Amari picked up her final pass for her JH title 🏅going 4/4 for her tests and then even picked up a 5th on Sunday! She got lots of compliments on her enthusiasm and marking skills. Draco had a rough water test on Saturday which I take the blame for because we haven’t been able to train in a pond with lots of sticks coming out of it. He did end up following my direction and getting the bird and finishing the test which was super impressive to me since we haven’t worked on handling at all! He just trusted that I said it was still out there and kept going. He did excellent Sunday and picked up his 2nd pass! I am so excited for this boys future. He’s been going back and forth between conformation shows and hunt tests for the past month and he’s handling it like a pro❤️ Hopefully more to come soon!🐾 🦆

Draco and Penny had a very successful weekend at the Mid Atlantic Kennel Club UKC shows.

Draco got best of breed 3 out of 4 shows, earning the last leg he needed for his GCH🏆 He won the CH class first show and the GCH class the remaining 3 shows. He also got two group 2 placements! I am so proud of everything he has accomplished. He impresses me with everything we do.

Penny won best female both shows Saturday earning her CH and got reserve in the CH class on Sunday! The big win for her was actually putting her ears up for me in the ring Sunday😂

A huge thank you to Cedar Hill Farm Labradors for all your help and congratulations on your success as well. I knew they could do it😉 and of course thank you to all the club members and judges! It was a great show!

Had an awesome day at the Rappahannock River Retriever Club junior hunt test. Amari picked up another pass and is so far 3/3, just one more for her title! And Draco got his first pass! This was his first test and we’ve only been training for about 3 weeks! I am so, so proud of both of them!

Had a great day training with Cedar Hill Farm Labradors! I took the puppies today along with Amari and Draco. I apparently didn’t get any pictures of Draco today though 🤦🏻‍♀️ all the pups had a blast and are worn out!

Finally got our pictures from last weekend. We had a fun and successful 4 shows Friday and Saturday showing at the Hampton Roads Kennel Club UKC shows. Thanks to all the judges and everyone that helped us out!

Draco(Josie x Wonka)- 2 wins and a reserve in the champion class, Best of Breed x 2, group 2nd placement out of a huge gun dog group Saturday. He only needs one more leg for his GCH!

Penny- Best Female x 2 and Best of Winners 2nd show Saturday. She needs one more win for her CH!

Sage(Amari x Duncan)- 2 best of breed puppy

Skye(Mom to Amari, Avery, and Strier)- she went for the veteran class just for fun. She was the only Labrador veteran, so she of course got best of breed all 4 shows

Gauge(Josie x Louis V)- He didn’t get anything this time with big brother and a couple of other very nice dogs winning in the CH class. He’s still getting ring experience and I can’t wait to see how he does when he’s fully mature!

Had a great time today working on some hunt test training with friends. All of our dogs did well and they’ll definitely sleep good tonight! Amari and Draco are headed towards a hunt test in a few weeks🦆

We also went to a UKC conformation show Friday and Saturday. The dogs did fantastic and I’ll post a full recap when the pictures come in!

We had a fun weekend at the Richmond Dog Obedience Club FastCAT. Penny and Draco both earned their BCAT title Saturday and Strier had her first experience and got 4 qualifying runs towards her title! Draco had a personal best time of 9.60 seconds and Strier caught on so well she cut her times in half by Sunday! Sage (Amari x Duncan) tagged along to experience all the sights, sounds, and smells. We of course had to take a picture of her as well. She’s 5-1/2 months and growing so fast!

Ember had a big weekend! She completed the final two JH passes she needed with Tidewater Retriever club to finish her JH title! 🏆 Both tests had some good challenges for the junior dogs and she handled it extremely well. Especially so soon after coming back from a break for puppies! I am beyond proud of her for everything she has accomplished❤️ We had to pull Amari out of the entries due to coming in season, but she will be next up headed for the hunt tests 🦆

A little late posting, but the pups had a great time at a local FastCAT at the end of August. Zelda finished her BCAT title and Penny, Draco, Dove, and Paisley worked on theirs. Penny and Draco are only 1-2 runs from their title already! Amari went for fun because she loves it so much.

Cedar Hill Farm Labradors has some stunning yellow girls ready to go home soon! They are full English and the parents are fully health tested-OFA hips, elbows, eyes, advanced cardiac, and DNA testing!

Ember doing some dock diving practice at Paws To Swim! She can’t wait until the dock opens back up. We are also working on delivering the bumper to hand after getting out of the water. She will need to do that for hunt tests this spring. That can be a tough component.
