We will keep the vegan egg and tomato sandwich option up on the menu- it seemed to be a popular replacement 🌱 🍅

Our small business is under the threat of losing a huge asset- our parking.

In the last several months, the city of Beaverton has come at our landlord HARD, because of our use of a gravel lot that the building has used for parking since 2008. They are claiming it’s out of compliance as it’s a “planter strip” and that it’s illegal for cars to park on “planter strips.”

If our landlord does not comply with these changes by January 10th, they are threatening a lien on the property.

Not only would Mutts Coffee, Yuubi, and c4curry (opening spring) lose their patron parking), but the city would require that customers parallel park in the street next to the “planter strip” which is not intuitive because their entire car will now be in the street. Patrons will now be subjected to parking enforcement if they incorrectly park, leading to parking tickets

This is just so defeating for our small business. As you can tell in the photos, we have large groups that love coming to Mutts because they love the convenience of the parking.

I explain more in a video that I’m trying to upload (if it will go through) and I’m signed up to speak at city council on Tuesday

As we close up our little coffeeshop that could for the final time in 2024, we definitely are feeling some big emotions as to how incredible this first full year has been for us. From fundraisers to first time cat features, to our first annual Pokey’s Perfect Pumpkin Patch, to hosting events to meeting so many new friends, it’s just been full throttle making lattes and helping dogs (and cats too ❤️).

There are a thousands words we could try to wordsmith into this post but it all circles back to us feeling unsatisfied with what we’d really like to takeaway from 2024 which is to hear from you all.

It’s the final days of December meaning it’s the final days of our Holiday Drink specials including our signature Blended Biscoff Latte. We will be transitioning into a new winter menu soon that will help get us through the rainy season with some comfort classics as well as some new drops

Good Morning from Mutts! We are reopened and ready to serve our community.

We are staying open extra late for you tomorrow in preparation for our 2-day closure. Open until 6pm but no hot food after 4 pm so we can start pre-closing early and ensure we leave on time so we can spend time with our families too :)

This will allow a unique opportunity to purchase last minute gifts or freshly roasted coffee for the holiday.

And there is of course, always the gift of endless options- a Mutts Coffee gift card

There are only a few 8 oz bags of retail coffee left but we did restock the 12 oz bags and we have light roast back on the shelf too

Things are heating up here at Mutts in the final days leading up to the final 2024 holidays and we’ve got some updates for y’all.

We anticipate some busy days here at the cafe and you might see some new faces as we train new staff members so thank you always for your patience with wait times, especially on the weekends and peak rush hour.

We have NEW coffees! Honduras medium and dark and Nicaragua light roast are hitting the shelves and available for purchase. We will brew a pot of each Honduras profile this weekend if you’d like to swing by and sample each. Mark will hop on soon for a takeover and talk more about these coffees and do a Q and A

I’ll be sure to have TONS of the CAT labels in stock supporting our special fundraiser for Cat Adoption Team as I know we’ve been sold out for several days now. I’m also updating our website with the new coffees tonight for anyone planning to order them and have them mailed or delivered. I’ll be printing tons of other labels as well in support of our other partners, a perfect gift for any dog and coffee lover in your life!

Local customers- If you are wanting us to deliver your coffee, you must order no later than Saturday at midnight. Mark and I will be dropping off orders Sunday evening. Any orders after that and we will be delivering them after the holiday.

We are going to try something a little different this time around: we will be OPEN LATE Christmas Eve and CLOSED Christmas DAY. Hours to be announced soon.

Gift Cards- this is super important as we are getting tons of calls about these:

We sell two types of gift cards-

•gift cards for our coffeehouse (square gift cards)

•gift cards for our online store only (wix gift cards)

These gift cards are not interchangeable unfortunately because they are issued through different point of sale systems

Coffeehouse gift cards have to be made in person and the minimum loading amount is $15

And last but not least, Mark’s special drink is finally available BUT you’ll have to swing by and ask us what it is 🤐
