We're very excited about 2022, and we thought there was no better way to start off than with a nice bath! So meet our January Dog of the Month, Frank. Frank just loves our sudsy specials and getting clean as a whistle. All of our other guests are definitely impressed! Happy New Year, Frank, and enjoy your special month!

You wouldn’t know it from the spring-like weather out there today, but it’s December 1st. Winter is officially just 3 weeks away (😭) and the holidays are in full swing. 🎄

We thought we’d switch things up this month and honor one of our feline friends. Meet Fuji, a wonderful kitty who visits us very frequently and loves to help out in the office by keeping our desks nice and organized. This position will manage and supervise large groups of dogs. The employee must be committed to extensive and thorough cleaning of surroundings including boarding area, playground, food prep area, dog dishes, self-wash/bathing area. This will include quick clean-up after dog waste as well as mopping and vacuuming.

Requirements/Qualifications
-Experience with dogs, whether working with them or owning your own. Most important is to feel comfortable in a large group of dogs, up to 50 at a time.
-Strong customer service skills including good communication.
-Intelligent self-starter who can work independently and make common-sense decisions.
-Must be clean-cut, articulate, and in good physical shape.
-Able to stand long periods of time in the kennel environment.

Pet Groomer Wanted - Beaverton

Noah's Arf is seeking full time groomer to join our team. We are a busy daycare and boarding facility with an established clientele.

Hours:
Tue - Sat: 9am-5pm

Requirements:
-Two years professional grooming experience.
-Able to handle pets in a gentle, compassionate, and safe manner while controlling temperament and gaining the dog's confidence.
-Good working knowledge of all breed cuts with sc******ng and finishing skills.
-Work independently with good communication skills.
-Noah's Arf staff will schedule appointments, take payment and assist when needed.
-Provide basic grooming tools. We supply the dryer, table, shampoo/conditioner, towels, and laundry service.
-Maintain a clean work environment.
-Self-motivated with reliable transportation.
-We do not use cage dryers or keep dogs longer than their appointment. Parents pick up when the groom is completed, or they return to daycare.

Commission is 50/50. You keep all tips.

Happy November everyone! The fall chill and rains have definitely arrived, and that means the holiday season is just around the corner. Be sure to check out our recent post regarding our holiday hours of operation, and if you need to make an overnight reservation, do it soon before we’re booked!

Of course, we can’t let the new month begin without introducing our Dog of the Month. They say big things come in small packages, and that definitely describes our pal Gus the Frenchie! He’s a rough-and-tumble little guy who absolutely loves to get in and mix it up with the big dogs. It’s quite a joy to watch him have such a good time at Noah’s daycare! Here’s to you, Gus!

Our Dog of the Month is Granola. She’s a 2.5 year-old chihuahua-terrier mix who found a furever home through a couple years back. This little gal is as sweet as her name indicates, and we’re so happy to have her as a part of the Arf Family!

Like many other small businesses of late, we are currently in the midst of filling out our staff to accommodate the rise in demand for our services with the lifting of coronavirus restrictions. In order to maintain the best quality of service that your pets deserve and expect, we need to temporarily scale back our weekend hours. -Strong work ethic (responsible, reliable and punctual)
-Be able to motivate and give clear directions, and be team-oriented.
-Experience in booking appointments, confident making and receiving phone calls in a busy environment, and ensure customers are satisfied.
-Reception and office responsibilities - working at the front desk and greeting customers.
-Intelligent, self-starter who can work independently and make common sense decisions.
-Strong, friendly customer service skills that include excellent communication.
-Experience with dogs, whether working with them or owning your own. We treat our guests as if they were one of our own with loving care, while also maintaining high standards for their safety and comfort. You will need a basic understanding of dog posturing and body language while monitoring/supervising their play in groups of 50.
-Must be clean, articulate and in good physical shape.
-Able to stand for long periods of time in a kennel environment.
-This position has a permanent part-time set schedule of 27 hours per week.
