We have had the luck of supporting the amazing local rescue "Love and care Kitten Adoption" for the last 5 years. Their passion is saving not just orphaned animals but ill, injured, neonatal, abandoned and abused animals and its heartwarming.

They are raising money to help them keep rescueing but also to fight an eviction from their current foster home. No one lives in the home, it's built for the foster cats. It was all pre approved in writing by the landlord and now they are deciding they want them out.

They have raised $450 so far in their Gofundme goal to save Love and care Kitten Adoption. Let's keep going to raise money to save our rescue. Below is our rescue gofundme link and a video with just a few examples of what we do and who we save.

Help us continue to save lives and make a difference in animal rescue. Lets continue to be their voice, and speak up with words and action to keep them safe from harm and cruelty.

"We may not be changing the world, but we are changing the world for the animals we save.".

Hi there. Do you except stick currency? šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Please join Love and care Kitten Adoption in raising money to help us save lives. Kitten season is here, and we are taking on bottle babies, very sick cats and kittens. Injured animals and abused, neglected and abandoned animals. Its not just cats we help anymore. We help dogs, ferrets, possums, when needed, and even squirls! Any being that needs help and love, Love and care Kitten Adoption will be there.

Due to our presedent of the rescue being a vet tech, we have an amazing 96% survival rate. We refuse to give up when we get a sweet soul who is begging without words for help.

We're here for you little ones. ā¤ļø

The money we raise will go to Kitten bottle formula, food, litter, toys, blankets, medical care, transport for exotic animals who are desperate for help and SO much more. It's all about the animals that need us!

Remember, all it takes is kind souls to donate only $5 or $10 dollars and it can add up so fast.

Every cent goes to these precious souls, and our dream is to be able to save every soul who comes to us for help. And that's where your help and generosity comes in. Please help fund us so we can be the voice for those who don't have one.

And remember, when you donate to a 501c3 non profit, it's tax deductible!

Please ask us any questions you may have!

Love,
Love and care Kitten Adoption šŸ˜ø ā™„ļø

As you all know we help out a local non profit rescue called Love and care Kitten Adoption. Just 3 days ago, we helped Love and cares little rescue Ildiko give birth to 6 bouncing healthy babies! All went smooth and mother and babies are doing great!

This is a perfclect example for teach the world about the importance of spaying and Neutering. Ildiko, the mother, was only a whopping 8 months old while giving birth. Which means she got pregnant at 6 months old. She came to Love and care pregnant because the owners couldn't affored to spay her. She was a teen mom. She almost lost 2 of her kittens.

Love and care has saved over 400 orphaned, ill and abandoned kittens in the last 2 years because spaying and neutering isn't happening.

Please remember that you kitten is sexually mature at 4 months and a mother cat can get pregnant just 1 week after giving birth.

Let's help save all of the ill and sick orphaned kittens by practicing the importance of spaying and neutering. If you can't affored to spay and neuter, think about if you should take in a cat. You may want one with a passion of a thousand sun's, but if you are unable to affored the basics, try to wait a little longer till your in a more financially stable place.

And ifnyou have any questions we are here to help your answer them.

Warmly,
The staff at Best Care Animal Hospital.

A cute pic of Momma Ildiko and babies. Ildiko will be spayed when her kittens are weaned.

As you all know, us here at BestCare Animal Hospital support the amazing rescue Love and care Kitten Adoption! We'll, per their protocol, they board their mommas right before birth in our mother cat suite we have built. 1 week to 2 weeks after the mother gives birth they get to go to their foster home. But until then, momma and babies are monitored and of course loved, and snuggled constantly. Lol.

Look who gave birth 4 days ago. Out sweet Meg! She has 5 little nuggets!

Meg was a good example as to why Beth (the owner of Love and care) has this pregnant cat protocol. Meg had complications in her birth because she is a VERY young cat and she got pregnant in her 1st heat. When Meg was surrendered she was already a month pregnant by her brothers. We had to help remove all 5 babies from their amniotic sacs and cut all the cords as well as stimulate to get them to breath. Megs motherly instincts did not kick in till the last Kitten was born. If we weren't there, she would have lost all but 1 Kitten. Good job Love and care Kitten Adoption team and BestCare Animal Hospital team!!

Happy national animal dental health month everyone!

The month of February is dedicated to the health and knowledge of animalā€™s oral health. Our clinic is offering 10% off of your dental cleaning for the month of February to help you keep your furry (and not so furry) friendā€™s teeth and gums happy and healthy.
Who wants to hear some fun animal oral health facts?!
1) Dental disease begins early in life.
By the age of three, most dogs and cats have some degree of dental disease. The early signs of dental disease in pets include bad breath, yellow tartar buildup on the teeth, and red and swollen gums.
2) Anesthesia makes dental evaluation and treatment safer and less stressful for your pet.
During your petā€™s dental procedure, veterinarians and technicians use sharp, sterilized instruments. Animals donā€™t like to hold still while using these sharp instruments are used to clean their teeth. Placing your pet under anesthesia during the procedure allows your veterinarian to make a more accurate diagnosis and decrease the chance of complications. Your pet will rest comfortably while the veterinary team safely performs a thorough and proper dental cleaning.
3) Homecare is an essential part of taking care of your petā€™s oral health.
Brushing your cat or dogā€™s teeth every day will promote good oral health and prevent potentially expensive surgeries down the road. Itā€™s easier than you think: There are even special pet toothpastes flavored like beef, chicken, fish, and peanut butter. (Note: Never use human toothpaste, which can contain ingredients like xylitol that are toxic to animals.)
4) Not all pet dental products are created equal.
If you arenā€™t able to brush your petā€™s teeth as often as youā€™d like, consider using other dental products designed to help maintain your petā€™s oral hygiene. Be sure to look for products approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC). Products that arenā€™t approved by the VOHC, or those that are too hard to bend or break easilyā€”like animal antlers and bones, synthetic bones, and othersā€”can easily fracture your petā€™s teeth.

Merry Christmas!!

Before your family wakes up to see what trinkets Santa left under the tree Christmas morning, be sure that you have taken all of the proper precautions to keep your dogs and cats safe this holiday season.
While the holidays are fun for us humans, they can present a lot of dangers to our furry family members. Donā€™t let your Christmas get interrupted by a trip to the emergency vet!
Here are a few Christmas safety tips to help you keep your fur family safe this holiday.

1. Pet-Proof The Christmas Tree
There is a possibility that the Christmas tree can be a potential danger to your pet. Failing to pet-proof the ā€œO Tannenbaumā€ could result in upset stomachs, painful injuries, catastrophic veterinary bills, or even tragedy this Christmas season.
Pet parents should always observe dogs and cats around the tree at all times. If possible, set up your tree in a room that you can easily close off when youā€™re not home. Many pet owners also create a barrier using a plastic pen or baby gate so pets canā€™t access the tree.
Curious canines and felines will want to explore the odd tree that appeared in their living rooms. Dogs and cats are notorious for trying to jump ontoā€”or even intoā€”the tree, which could easily cause it to come crashing to the floor.
Make sure you anchor the tree securely to avoid a dangerous tree-tipping disaster. Check your tree stand daily to confirm that the eyebolts are still locking the tree in place.
For added security, anchor the tree to your ceiling with a ceiling hook and fishing line.

2. Beware Christmas Tree Water
Pet parents who bring live pines, spruces, and firs inside for Christmas should make sure the water reservoir inside of the tree stand is not easily accessible to dogs and cats. As the tree drinks water, it can release sometimes-toxic sap into the stand that smells tasty to pets.
Many fresh trees are also preserved with pesticides and fertilizer water additives, including aspirin. Aspirin can be fatal for cats because they lack a necessary protein in their livers to break down the drug. While veterinarians occasionally prescribe aspirin for dogs to treat various conditions, too much can prove deadly.
Block access to the tree stand by thoroughly covering it with aluminum foil and a well-wrapped tree skirt.

3. Be Careful With Christmas Lights
All the lights and baubles you use to adorn your Christmas tree and your home sure are pretty, but they can pose a real threat to your pet. Veterinarians say pets can easily die from electrocution, internal injuries, or intestinal blockage after enjoying a decorative snack.
Be sure you fasten holiday lights to your tree and place cords out of reach of your curious petā€™s mouth. Block access to any loose cords or wires.

4. Ornaments Can Be Deadly

Those might look like tree ornaments to you, but to Fido and Fluffy, they are just potential toys in a festive display.
Chewing on ornaments can cause cuts in the mouth, throat, and digestive system, as well as other serious injuries.
Tree-trimmings like garland and tinsel, when eaten, can also result in gastrointestinal blockages that have the potential to harm or even kill your pet.

5. Pick Safe Christmas Plants
Popular decorative plants like holly, mistletoe, and the poinsettia can be poisonous if ingested.
English and Asian varieties of the holly plant contain toxic saponins, which can cause serious gastrointestinal distress when eaten.
The vincetoxins in mistletoe are nothing to kiss over; eating the leaves or berries of this common Christmas plant can cause stomach upset and a slowed heartbeat.
The poinsettia flower is typically only toxic when ingested in large quantities, so its reputation as the most dangerous Christmas plant is somewhat undeserved. That said, the milky white sap of the poinsettia tends to cause diarrhea, excessive drooling, and vomiting, which can endanger a petā€™s health.
Christmas bouquets and floral arrangements that contain lilies are very hazardous to pets, especially cats. All it takes is a few bites of a lily plant to cause potentially fatal kidney failure in felines.
Cautious pet owners should probably steer clear of including these beautiful but dangerous plants in their Christmas dƩcor.

6. Keep Gifts And Candy Out Of Reach
Make sure your stockings really are hung by the chimney with care this holiday season; childrenā€™s toys, gift wrap, and candy should be kept out of reach at all times.
If you believe your pet may have eaten something he or she shouldnā€™t have this holiday season, contact your veterinarian immediately. Keep the numbers to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital handy if harm or injury should happen after hours.
Finally, call the 24-hour ASPCA emergency poison hotline at 1-888-426-4435 if you have any concerns about potentially harmful substances ingested by your pet. Specialists are available to aid you every day of the year, including Christmas.

Trick or treat everyone!! Let work together to keep all of our pets safe during this spooky holiday!

1 Trick-or-treat candies are not for pets.

All forms of chocolate ā€” especially baking or dark chocolate ā€” can be dangerous, even lethal, for dogs and cats. Symptoms of chocolate poisoning may include vomiting, diarrhea, rapid breathing, increased heart rate, and seizures. Halloween candies containing the artificial sweetener xylitol can also be poisonous to dogs. Even small amounts of xylitol can cause a sudden drop in blood sugar and subsequent loss of coordination and seizures. And while xylitol toxicity in cats has yet to be established, itā€™s better to be safe than sorry. If you do suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, please call your vet clinic right away!

2 Donā€™t leave pets out in the yard on Halloween.

Surprisingly, vicious pranksters have been known to tease, injure, steal, and even kill pets on Halloween night. Inexcusable? Yes! But preventable nonetheless.

3 Keep pets confined and away from the door.

Not only will your door be constantly opening and closing on Halloween, but strangers will be dressed in unusual costumes and yelling loudly for their candy. This, of course, is scary for our furry friends. Dogs are especially territorial and may become anxious and growl at innocent trick-or-treaters. Putting your dog or cat in a secure room away from the front door will also prevent them from darting outside into the night ā€¦ a night when no one wants to be searching for a lost loved one.

4 Keep your outdoor cats inside several days before and several days after Halloween.

Black cats are especially at risk from pranks or other cruelty-related incidents. In fact, many shelters do not adopt out black cats during the month of October as a safety precaution.

5 Keep Halloween plants such as pumpkins and corn out of reach.

Although they are relatively nontoxic, such plants can induce gastrointestinal upset should your pets ingest them in large quantities. Intestinal blockage can even occur if large pieces are swallowed. And speaking of pumpkins ā€¦

6 Donā€™t keep lit pumpkins around pets.

Should they get too close, they run the risk of burning themselves or knocking it over and causing a fire.

7 Keep wires and electric light cords out of reach.

If chewed, your pet could cut himself or herself on shards of glass or plastic, or receive a possibly life-threatening electrical shock.

8 Donā€™t dress your pet in a costume unless you know theyā€™ll love it.

If you do decide to dress your pet in a costume, make sure it isnā€™t annoying or unsafe. It should not constrict movement, hearing, or the ability to breathe or bark and meow.

9 Try on pet costumes before the big night.

If they seem distressed, allergic, or show abnormal behavior, consider letting them go in their ā€œbirthday suitā€. Festive bandanas usually work for party poopers, too.

10 IDs, please!

If your dog or cat should escape and become lost, having the proper identification will increase the chances that they will be returned. Just make sure the information is up-to-date, even if your pet does have one of those fancy-schmancy embedded microchips.

Morning all! Welp our sweet saved Tilly is ready for adoption! Please read entire post if interested and contact Beth at our clinic for any questions. We love you Tilly!!

**Special needs puppy**

Everyone please meet Silly Tilly Illy!! She is a pure breed blue and red tick heeler. She is 11 weeks old and a massive ball of love. She came from a breeder who found that she had Megaesphogus and because of that they were going to put her down. Myself, a veterinary technician and owner of a private rescue, would not have it till I knew how bad her condition was. Well, it turns out its not bad at all. Yes she has some limitations, but nothing that isn't easily manageable.

Tilly's requirements:

-She must be fed grain free. By hand. It only takes a few minutes but she can't eat out a bowl because her head is bowed.
-She must be fed 3 small meals a day.
-After she eats you need to snuggle her upright for about 5 minutes.
-She can only drink from a guiny pig water bottle (If she drinks from a bowl you need to hold her immediately upright for about 5 min or she will vomit)
-There is a fun hydration treat called Knox blox that are really really easy to make and she loves them! Its a better option that water.
-And last, at night she needs to sleep in an inflatable donut collar. (Which she is used too already and she will come with) It keeps her head elevated while she sleeps so nothing comes up.

In all honestly her care is very easy. It is so worth it because of the love bug she is.

If you have questions about Tilly, please feel free to contact me and ask. Please research this breed before you inquire as they are a hyper and smart breed. She will need exercise of the body and mind.

Things she can do:
-She is 50% potty trained (she is only 11 weeks old)
-She can sit
-Come to you when you whistle
-Loves playing fetch
-Loves hiking
-Is kenneled trained for the night and the car

She comes with the following:
-DHPP VX #1 and #2
-Bordetella VX (good for a year)
-Microchip
-1 year subscription paid for Microchip
-Pyrantel dewormer #1 and #2
-Praziquantel dewormer #1 and #2
-She comes with a case of food, loads of toys, medical history, food puzzles which she loves
-One free medical exam at Best Care Animal Hospital
-1 month flea control
-A coupon for 15% off of her spay when she is old enough.

There is a rehoming fee
Warmly,
Beth at Love and care Kitten Adoption šŸ˜ø ā™„
