From on of our Doggie owners:

We are looking to rehome our Shepherd, Jack, due to unforeseen circumstances. He just turned 3 years old in March. Fully housetrained, neutered. Registered, purebred, will come with his papers. Up to date on vaccines. We are not asking for $$ for him, we simply just want to make sure he finds a GOOD home where we can get updates on his progress in such home. So, I will be pretty selective on new prospective owners. We will probably need to meet at a dog park or public place as he's very territorial at home. He's not very socialized as we don't take him many places except for the vet and walks in the country...and we don't have many visitors, but when he gets to know someone, he's very lovable. He's been great with our granddaughters, all under the age of 7. He's been around other dogs and cats and does fine....unless he doesn't know them, then he will probably need some proper introductions. He has gone to daycare and boarding and does get along fine with the other dogs. He's not fond of the UPS or mailman and likes to bark and act very fierce when they come around. Again, the territorial thing. He's a very good dog, doesn't chew anything up when in the house, but there's almost always someone home. He's used to being kept in the basement entry at night, with his doggy door and has access to the fenced back yard. He's never been crated. I have never left him alone in the house to see how he'd do except for maybe 20-30 minutes and he just lays on his rug (bed), when told to stay there. He would benefit with an owner who is familiar with Shepherds and has time to train and socialize him more. Serious inquires only please. Contact via email at [email protected]
