We accepted Cassidy into our rescue last month. She’s very timid, and we decided to give her some time to adjust before we spent her to be spayed. It’s a good thing we did, because today Cassidy surprised all of us with a litter of 8 healthy puppies! We need a local foster home for this precious family. All food, vet care and supplies will be provided. Please message us if you’d like to help Cassidy and her babies with a quiet, calm place. Thank you!

He was the best receptionist ever! Jerry greeted everyone who came into Pawfection, whether they wanted it or not, with purrs and rubs. If you ignored him he would pull at your hand to pet him. I adopted him when he was about 13 years old and after I sold the store he lived his last few months at my home.
He was slowly declining the last few weeks and today within hours he was gone. I miss him so much and I know my Pawfection family will too. I love you Jerry. ❤️🐾❤️🐾

To My Loyal Customers,

It has been an honor to serve the community for the past 25 years, providing a safe and loving place where my clients can bring their pets to be groomed. After much thought and consideration, I have decided the right time has come for me to sell Pawfection Pet Grooming. As of Friday, August 27th, I am passing the torch to two caring and trusted grooming professionals, Gerard Marone and Seann Sackett, with Lucky Paws Pet Grooming.

I am confident they will take good care of my beloved clients and their pets, continuing what I have worked so hard to achieve. I am staying on to help with the transition, and all of Pawfection’s existing staff, including Gisella Burra, Carrie Delaney, and Martha Espinosa, will remain, so your pets will feel right at home.

I am truly thankful for the support, wet puppy kisses, and sweet cat purrs that I have received over these years. I am lucky to say I chose a profession that made me happy each day! It has been my pleasure working with every one of my clients and thank you for trusting me with your pets! ❤️🐾

Sky is an 11 year old purebred Husky who has a pretty sad backstory. Her owner passed away, and she was taken in by an elderly man who is ill and cannot take care of her any longer. Sky is absolutely beautiful and ready for a home. She’s also healthy, happy and an extremely youthful-for-her-age dog with zero health issues. We want this dog to spend as little time as possible here, so we need your help! Please share, spread the word, and send good vibes for Sky to be adopted ASAP. Thank you!! 🐾

Our sweet boy Luigi is between 8-10 years old but like most seniors he doesn’t know his age. Sadly his owner passed away so it was a bit of an adjustment for him as he was clearly confused but he has blossomed in his foster home which is evident in that big smile of his 😊 Luigi is a calm and loving gentleman with such a wonderful disposition so he’s going to make some lucky person or family very happy! Luigis one request is that his new owner either work from home or be retired as he gets nervous when left home alone for too long ❤️

Heres is a terrible situation we are trying to help; these two dogs are 11 years old. Owner died. Family cannot take the dogs, who are being boarded near West Point at a cost of 400 a week (shame on the boarding facility charging that!!- we would never!!)
Can anyone help? They are sweet, healthy and up to date on vaccines. Don’t have to be adopted together. No adoption fee- just looking for a great home for each dog.

**EDIT: ADOPTED!!** ORLEANS, VT: 16 year old Callie has no business being in a shelter at her age. She is an absolute sweetheart who soaks up human attention, that is, when she's not quietly snoozing on her dog bed or basking in the the warm sunshine. Callie would love a comfortable home where she can lounge around peacefully while you work from home or go about your daily errands. She is very easygoing and has good manners at home. She does enjoy short walks and fresh air, but she does not need very much activity at this stage of her life. If you're not in position to adopt this super-sweet-senior, do her a solid and PLEASE SHARE!

Pope Memorial Frontier Animal Shelter wrote, "Callie arrived on April 13th. She is 16 years old and such a sweet girl. She was surrendered to us because we were told she did not get along with children; we are uncertain of the ages of their children. She has met other children 8 and older and she loved them.

Callie is very content snoozing most of the day, but she also loves to go outside and go on brief walks. She loves getting attention from us and just hanging out. And she loves cuddles and to be pet! She's very happy interacting with us and we have seen nothing but positive interactions when she meets new people, she goes right up to them with her tail wagging. She likes to go on car rides (she rides SUPER well in a car). She eats well and loves treats.

Callie is completely housetrained. The previous family also said her manners in the house were great. She is very hard of hearing! She doesn't make a peep unless she sees another dog. Callie is not a fan of other dogs or cats. We do think it would be best that she is the only animal in the home.

She went to the vet when she first arrived and, as far as we know, she is completely healthy. She does have arthritis, but we use glycoflex and we have seen improvement in her movement!

During the pandemic, we have been doing adoptions by appointment only. We have been able to safely introduce potential adopters to our dogs outside in our yards while maintaining safe social distance. We adopt within a 3 hour radius of the shelter, typically, but during the pandemic, we have been limiting adoptions to just the state of Vermont."
