Happy New Years Everyone!! 2024 was the year of Hobbs keep us all on our toes. 😂I have a feeling he will continue to in 2025. Cheers to all to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025! 🥂Thanks for being part of the Paisley Place community and loving these long earred goofballs with me! ❤️
When everyone thinks the mules are the stubborn ones but you live with an overly sensitive, dramatic Belgian. 🙄
Late to the party like usual, Happy National Horse Day!!!Paddington and Frosty are the only 2 horses here and I honestly couldn’t ask for better boys! They take such good care of the mules and donkeys and are the two sweetest souls. Love these boys to pieces! ❤️
Someone asked me this week how the little orphan mule-colt was doing. If he was coming out of his shell and if the others being nice to him. Yeah, he is managing. 😂
Incoming Spam Sunday! I know I post a lot of pics of Frosty, but with him being a large draft in his late 20’s everyday I get with him a true blessing. When he first arrived he had some serious walls up. He seemed so defeated and wanted nothing to do with me or the rest of the herd. He was a grump. Lemon was determined to get through those walls, she was much more optimistic than I was. I will post the old reel of her trying to win Frosty over in my stories. She never gave up and together her and I continued to try. Eventually the walls came down and Frosty showed his true-self, a cuddly love bug that wants to be kissed all day and receive treats. It wasn’t that long ago where he was scared of treats and wouldn’t take them, now you get a full body search if you enter the yard. 🫠😂 I will be forever grateful that things worked out the way they did and he ended up with us. This old boy has truly stolen my heart. We love you Frosty! 🤍🩶🤍
Our three thrown away babies Lemon, Clementine and Hobbs all found themselves tagged for slaughter at very young ages (Hobbs and Lemon were not a year old yet). All were discarded like trash because of their legs. Lemon and Hobbs were born with Flexor Deformity and check ligament (inferior and superior). While little Clemie had, Carpus Varus, is a limb deformity that causes the front legs to angle inward from the carpus, forming a bow shape. Neither condition warrants being sent to slaughter or prevents them from living a normal life. Because of you all and your support they will have normal lives and they will have sanctuary. Thank you all for supporting the herd and making happy endings like this possible. ❤️
Happy $5.00 Friday everyone!! We are still working on our float fundraiser. All the equine have floats coming up this month. Little Hobbs will even have a quick check! $5 adds up and your support makes it possible to care for this sweet herd and provide the best care we can. It is so very appreciated!! Sometimes we all just need a little buddy. 🧡
Happy $5.00 Friday everyone! This is the conversation I imagine the mules having as they watch me obsessively check fences.🤦🏻♀️🙄 We are STILL plugging away at our emergency fence fundraiser with only $330 left to go! If you follow us on Instagram you may have seen that something startled the equines one night (most liked the big bear that hangs around behind the barn) and the fence was broken. We are raising funds to have the fence fixed, add a secondary protective fence and a hot wire. Donations are as always extremely appreciated! ❤️ PayPal-@unadoptables Venmo- @PaisleysplaceNH Cash app-$PaisleysPlaceMules
