From the train station in Mt Kisco NY to a safe, cozy home, Chloe finally has the family she deserves. A great start to 2025 for a sweet cat, and a good example of our determination to help homeless animals from our local area.

On New Year’s Eve, two different families brought Rescue Right kittens home. The kittens were all living outdoors, trapped by us, cared for and tamed and vetted by us. These kittens had rough starts, with all the odds stacked against them, but with medicine, food and love, especially love, the best part of their story is being written on the last day of the year.
All of us here are incredibly grateful for the people who choose to bring a homeless pet into their families. I want to thank our dedicated staff, volunteers and veterinarians, without whom none of this would be possible. Rescue Right remains committed to providing a safe haven and a new start to the deserving animals we work so hard to serve. Wishing all of you a happy and blessed 2025.

One of our favorite RR families adopted a cat today. Their new feline bestie was rescued from someone’s backyard in a neighboring town. Miraculously, she turned out to be friendly and affectionate, and she quickly became a favorite around here. Today was her lucky day, the beginning of a brand new life, so much better than her past. Happy adoption day!

Merry Christmas from lovely girl Barbie, now named Belle, celebrating the holidays in her very own home. She’s settled and happy, yet another “throwaway “ dog who deserved a chance to be loved. Happy tails from Rescue Right.

Right before Christmas, Wiley has just lost the only home she’s ever known. Wiley has been a wonderful companion, but now she’s all alone, with no idea what her future holds. She’s 4, she’s great with other dogs, and she has no behavior problems. Please help us find this sweetheart a home so she doesn’t start the new year without a family. Wiley weighs 36 lbs, and she’s spayed and up to date on vaccines. True to her border collie breed, she’s incredibly smart, does lots of adorable tricks, and likes to herd small children.

Happy adoption day to Hestia, who survived being born outdoors because a nice person was feeding and caring for her mother. Our little girl has joined a great family who will give her the love, food and safety every pet needs. P.S, she’s got littermates still waiting😀.

Can you feel the happiness in this picture? Rocky’s previous owners weren’t able to keep him. We found a terrific new dad for him, and their love is beautiful to see.
We have other equally amazing dogs looking for love, and all you need to do is open your heart.

When the kids are home for the holiday, it’s the purrfect time to adopt a cat at Rescue Right! This very nice family will be adopting one of our beautiful, locally rescued cats. This cat was found searching for food at the train station, brought in by a kind person. She’s been very happy with us, but she’s really hit the jackpot with her new owners.
Another happy tale!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Rescue Right!
We’re deeply touched by the dozen of messages of solidarity, support and love for our organization. We are SO grateful to our adopters for sharing their home with a homeless pet. You’ve given our animal a gift we cannot, the greatest gift of all - a family.

Sometimes, the experience of being trapped, spayed and vaccinated can be traumatic for feral cats. It’s not unusual for them to hide for a while after being returned to their home territory. Frances defied those expectations and casually made her way back to her caretakers to enjoy a snack within a half hour. This savvy cat knows she’s got a good thing going! This was a very successful tnr operation, with momcat, dadcat and kittens all rescued, all sterized, all safe. Real rescue, right in our town.

Oreo found himself without a home when his family was no longer able to care for him. We mentioned him to our veterinarian, who mentioned him to their client, and now Oreo has a new home, a new family, and a new life.

Two bonded cats, 10 and 11 years old, were left homeless and alone by the recent death of their owner. Cats this age almost never find a home, much less a home that will adopt both of them. Fortunately, we found the perfect person right away, and these two sisters are starting the second chapter of their lives together. We hope their previous owner can rest easy, knowing her beloved cats will always have each other for comfort.
Despite everything going on, we’re still doing real rescue, every single day.

Pocket pittie lovers, we’ve got a dog for you! Ham is still here. He’s a staff and volunteer favorite, and we want him in a family! Ham’s favorite things are car rides, belly rubs and going to the park. He’s an easily portable, low-rider doggo, and all he needs is the right person to come along.
Please come in and ask to see Ham, or any other of our wonderful animals.

Desperate situation:
Angel’s apartment was destroyed by a devastating fire. His owners are staying in a Red Cross shelter in NYC, and the person holding on to Angel said he can’t keep him past this Wednesday. Angel is a family pet; friendly, housebroken and good with other dogs. He needs a foster home for 6-8 weeks while his family finds housing. NYC preferred. Angels family is desperate to keep him. Don’t let this wonderful dog end up in the Manhattan ACC. Please share to help Angel with a temporary foster home!
