An immediate foster is needed for this sweet eight-month-old little girl, who was dumped in a paper bag in the foyer at my vet's office last night. There are even fewer fosters than usual at the moment because fosters are going out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend. She is getting spayed Wednesday. She needs a foster starting Wednesday night. If you can foster this little girl, please email [email protected]. Include your phone number for a faster response. She has not been observed her with other cats or dogs, but most cats can get along with other cats, as well as dogs, if they are introduced methodically to each other. We can provide pointers for that. Because she is nearly completely white, we are calling her Halley, after Halley's Comet.

Every once in a while, we as rescuers come across situations that make us shake our heads even more than usual. Itsy and Bitsy came from one of those situations. Once upon a time, there was a woman who had 11 kittens. For some reason, she thought it would be a good idea to keep those kittens in dog cages --2-3 per cage-- in her garage for the first year of their lives. They are all out, and they are all doing surprisingly well. Itsy and Bitsy are among them. Itsy and Bitsy shown themselves to have personalities as sweet as any cats you're ever likely to meet. Despite their rough start, they're playful, friendly, and wonderfully well adjusted. Itsy and Bitsy love attention, enjoy playtime, and quickly bond with those who show kindness. They love human company and purr warmly when pet. They do not need to be adopted together, although they certainly can be. We have not observed her with dogs or kids; we think they'd do well with dogs or kids who know how to treat cats respectfully. They should be adopted into an interactive home where they'll get lots of attention and play time. Itsy and Bitsy are adorable little sweethearts with a personalities that will fill any home with warmth, love, and fun. They're an easy pair who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

Itsy and Bitsy have been spayed, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive their full medical records. They're being fostered in Wellesley. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. A small discount will apply to adopting more than one cat. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email [email protected] with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.

Two-year-old orange boy Willow is an affectionate, gentle companion who was a terrified little guy when he entered his foster home, but has really come out of his shell in foster care. Willow was one of several cats who lost their home due to an eviction, so we knew he had a history of getting along with other cats, and he gets along very well with the other cat in his foster home. He’s enjoys snuggling beside his foster parents on the couch. He has the perfect balance of playful energy and calm, cozy moments. Willow has a wonderfully goofy, fun-loving side. He is a bit of a clown to whom almost anything is a potential toy-- think Harpo Marx. He enjoys batting at wand toys, chasing things you toss, and doing the occasional silly pounce. Cats do best in interactive homes where they get plenty of companionship and playtime, and Willow is no exception. He would do best in a home that has at least one other cat. If you’re looking for a cat who’s sweet, a little silly, and full of heart, Willow is ready to meet you. He’s the perfect mix of fun and affection: a warm, happy presence who will make any home feel brighter.

Willow has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his full medical records. He's being fostered in Allston. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet and greets. In-person meetings are also possible. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email [email protected] with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.

Every once in a while, we as rescuers come across situations that make us shake our heads even more than usual. Charlie came from one of those situations. Once upon a time, there was a woman who had 11 kittens. For some reason, she thought it would be a good idea to keep those kittens in dog cages --2-3 per cage-- in her garage for the first year of their lives. They are all out, and they are all doing surprisingly well. Charlie has shown himself to have a disposition as friendly as any cat you're ever likely to meet-- sometimes a bit too friendly for the taste of the other cats in his foster home, as he sometimes wants to play when they don't and he doesn't always take no for an answer. Despite his rough start, he’s playful, clownish, and wonderfully well adjusted. Charlie loves attention, enjoys playtime, and quickly bonds with those who show him kindness. He loves human company and purrs warmly when petted. As you can see from the video, when it comes to play, he enjoys a pole-and-string toy as much as any cat. He is seen with his all-black sister Emma, with whom he gets along well. (They do not need to be adopted together, although they certainly can be. However, Charlie sometimes plays a little too rough for her, although not in a mean way.) We have not observed him with dogs or kids; we think he'd do well with dogs or kids who know how to treat cats respectfully. A home with at least one other four-legged buddy would be ideal, especially one or more who can handle his rough-and-tumble style of play. He should be adopted into an interactive home where he'll get lots of attention and won't be left unaccompanied for long hours. Charlie is an engaging little scamp with a personality that will fill any home with warmth, love, and fun. He's an easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

Lincoln is a one-year-old brown tabby with a heart of pure gold and bright green eyes full of warmth. When the person he loved most moved away, he was heartbreakingly left outside to fend for himself. Thankfully, a kind landlord stepped in, brought him safely indoors, and got him to a volunteer's home. Despite all he’s been through, Lincoln remains remarkably friendly and open-hearted—he greets everyone, even new visitors, with gentle curiosity and affection. Even the video in this profile shows him making friends with a visitor to his foster home. We haven’t seen him around other cats, dogs, or children yet, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids who know how to interact gently with cats. Lincoln would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours. This sweet, resilient boy is ready to find a forever home where love and loyalty are returned in full. Lincoln is an easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter looking for a devoted companion for life.

Lincoln has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his full medical records. He’s being fostered in Boston's Fenway area. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Meet Jordan, a two-year-old brown tabby whose gentle spirit is finally shining through after a difficult chapter in his life. When the person he loved was hospitalized, Jordan and the other cats in his home suddenly found themselves without the comfort and security they’d always known. Heartbroken and confused, he shut down for weeks—quiet, withdrawn, and unsure of the world around him. (Don't EVER let anyone tell you that cats don't love their people!) With the patience and kindness of his foster mom, Jordan has gradually rebounded. His true personality is now emerging: a tender, sensitive boy who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved again. He purrs up a storm when getting a belly rub and loves to play with pole toys, but there are also times when he's still timid, so his adopter will have to give him patience and lots of TLC. We haven’t observed him around dogs or children, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids who know how to interact gently with cats. Jordan would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours, preferably with another feline buddy. He appears to be an easy boy who would be suitable for a first-time adopter looking for a loving companion for life.

Jordan has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his full medical records. He’s being fostered in Charlestown. Meet Tommy, a one-year-old boy with a tender heart and a story that will touch yours. Tommy was found abandoned, terrified, and plaintively meowing outside the door of the residence where he had lived after being left behind by the person he loved most. Tommy didn’t understand why his world had suddenly changed. With patience and kindness, his foster mom has helped him rediscover trust, and now he’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion. Tommy loves gentle attention and shows his affection with adorable "nose boops" that would melt anyone's heart. He’s ready to leave his painful past behind and start a new chapter with someone who will never leave him again. We haven’t seen him around other cats, dogs, or children yet, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids who know how to interact gently with cats. Tommy would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours. He appears to be an easy boy who would be suitable for a first-time adopter looking for a loving companion for life.

Tommy has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his full medical records. ADOPTED!
[Courtesy post]
Meet Berry Feathertail, a sweet ten-month-old girl who looks like she may have some Maine c**n in her. Berry is as charming as she is playful. Always ready for a game or a gentle cuddle, Berry, a medium-haired black lass with a beautifully bushy tail rather like a feather duster, is friendly, curious and affectionate, and enjoys being petted as much as she loves to play. She gets along well with the other cats in her foster home. We have not observed her with dogs or kids. Like most cats, we believe she would do well with dogs or kids who know how to treat cats respectfully. She would do best in an interactive home where she'll get lots of attention and play time. Berry seems to be an easy girl who would be an ideal choice for first-time adopters.

She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her full medical records. She's being fostered in Malden.
