Petty is a very sweet and calm 7 year old, 14-pound chihuahua who found her way to us through no fault of her own. Her previous owners loved her dearly but were unable to continue caring for her due to their health problems.
This little lady adores snuggling up on laps and soaking up affection. With her gentle nature, she would thrive in a calm and quiet home where she can feel safe and loved.

L👀KING for a young dog that has has received training 😃. ARCHER is an affectionate and playful 9-month-old pup who adores everyone he meets—humans, other dogs, cats, and animals. He’s thriving in his training at RIVER RUN DOG TRAINING & BOARDING, thanks to the generosity of a donor. Fully crate trained, housebroken, and brimming with energy, ARCHER loves his toys and playing with Ashtan's Great Danes. With an approved application, three additional training sessions will be covered by the donor to ensure his transition into a forever home is seamless and successful.

Dunkin is a 1-year-old beagle mix, weighing only 24 pounds, with a heart as big as his floppy ears. From the moment he arrived at the shelter, he captured the hearts of everyone he met. Shelter staff noticed something different about one of his legs, prompting a visit to the vet. An exam and X-ray revealed that Dunkin had suffered a broken leg at some point in his life. Thankfully, the bone has completely healed, and Dunkin moves about with ease and joy. This sweet boy is playful, gentle, and loves everyone he meets. His quiet demeanor and loving nature make him a perfect companion for someone ready to open their heart and home. Dunkin dreams of finding a forever family where he can share his unconditional love and receive the affection he so deeply deserves.

WALLY is not a big fan of being held but he has certainly come a LONG way from alluding all of Bedford when he was surviving at the Walmart parking lot. Thanks to Bedford Street & Sanitation Department, Indiana for providing Animal Control service and bringing him to our shelter, where our staff have been caring for him and socializing him to be ready for adoption. He LOVES pets and eating 😸 and is ready for a loving home ❤️.

We asked for a loving foster for Claire, and we found the perfect one! Claire, who struggled in the shelter, is now thriving. Her foster mom says Claire is doing great—she’s eating more every day (as long as there’s chicken involved!), giving kisses, and following her from room to room. She loves the backyard and enjoys zoomies outside. After a couple of accidents on her first night, she’s been perfectly house-trained and even stays calm when left alone. While she’s still scared of everything and working on her confidence, Claire is making amazing progress. Her foster mom is thrilled, and it sounds like Claire is too! Fostering truly makes a world of difference for animals in need. ❤️

PUPDATE! "I adopted Mae from this humane society a couple days ago. I wanted to let you know that she is settling in BEAUTIFULLY! She has gotten lots and lots of cuddles and treats. She sleeps with me, and I wake up every morning to THE BEST snuggles and kisses.
She is doing SO well in car rides and has been awesome with everyone she has met (including my family's old chihuahua mix and my grandparent's cat). Crate training and potty training are both going really well, and she is learning to “leave it” and wait before she goes after her food.
I have never met such a sweet, chill, and easygoing dog. I literally could not have found a better match! As I write this, she is fast asleep at the head of my bed waiting for some nighttime snuggles, so I would say she agrees that we are a perfect fit!
