**Edit** Spud found his home!!!
I cannot say enough good things about Spud! The other day, my sheep escaped into the big pasture where the horse was grazing.
Curious to see how Spud would handle the situation, I decided to send him out to retrieve them. From a vantage point on higher ground, I could just barely spot the sheep hidden in the tall grass.
I sent Spud out, and I watched as he diligently searched for the sheep. He came close but didn't quite find them on his first try. Returning to me, he looked at me with a mix of confusion and determination. Undeterred, I sent him out again. Trusting me, he went back out and, this time, successfully located the sheep and brought them straight back to me!
I was so proud of him. While we had the sheep in the farmyard, I decided to work with Spud a bit more. I captured a couple of short videos that really showcase how far he's come in his training.
Spud is such a good boy! He is currently looking for a family to call his own, and I can assure you, this boy will not get you into any trouble. Whether you need a dog for chores, constant work, or even if you’re interested in getting your feet wet in trials, Spud has the potential to excel in all these areas.
Send us a message to discuss Spud!
Spud, a neutered 3-year-old CBCA registered Border Collie is seeking employment. Spud is an honest, hard-working dog with tremendous potential, making him an excellent choice for beginners looking to learn and advance in herding or other canine activities.
Spud is quick and energetic, and with a little guidance, he can learn to pace himself better. Despite his speed, he's reliable and won't get you into trouble. His heart and determination make him a devoted partner.
Currently located in Saskatchewan, Canada, I will be traveling to Kansas in mid-July and can discuss transportation options for Spud during that time.
If you're interested in learning more about Spud, feel free to send me a message.

We hope this girl continues to impress!
She's young, so we're just exposing her to stock every so often. No pressure, just let her be a pup and figure things out.
While instinct testing a young pup this evening, with not a word said by me, my Meraxes put a ewe in her place. The control this little dog has is amazing.
This little female of ours always amazes me! She tries so hard and never wants to disappoint!

Our girl, Meraxes' 3rd time seeing cattle. This little dog amazes me more and more everyday!
Anyone who knows me knows that Sula was my heart and soul. When I bred Sula a little over 2 years ago, I had no idea it would be her last litter that she would give me before having to say goodbye to her a few short months later.
In that last litter was a little female, a little spit fire of a female. I wasn't really interested in keeping a female, instead I kept a male and this particular little female was spoken for by a good friend and someone who taught me so much through the years, so I was more than happy she was getting a pup from me!
It wasn't meant to be, my male went on to a new home, and this little spit fire wasn't getting along with her owner, so I made the decision to buy her back. I am so grateful that I made that decision!
Today, that little spit fire of a pup has turned into such a neat little thing! She was a handful at first, but I couldn't imagine life without her. This weekend she helped me dog break a group of sheep that were stubborn and on the fight. This girl impresses me more and more every day!
She is everything I had envisioned and more from that cross! J.R. Vaquero over at Ranchdog Inc/Rafter V Ranch was such a great choice for Sula, and I'm so grateful that the Vermettes allowed me the opportunity to cross my Sula with their Kero!
You amaze me so much, KM Meraxes!
