Christmas is almost here. If you’re stumped on what to buy your good little doodles and retrievers or animal loving coworkers or friends for the holidays a gift certificate for a clean christmas might do the trick! We do have gift certificates left for pick up at the shop.
If you’re looking to squeeze in for a nail clip, wash or trim before Christmas let me know so I can save you a space!
Currently have some openings on Monday 12/23 which is the last day for gift cards or grooms before we take a little Christmas vacation. No grooming on 12/24,12/25, or 12/26 as we will be too busy wrangling babies and pets away from packages and ornaments. I have a few spots left this week and space for a few last minute grooms before the holiday. If it’s just to chaotic to think about draggin fluffy to the spa right now don’t worry we do still have space in January after the new year.

Thank you to all the kind customers lately. I didn’t get pictures of every pup but I’ve had so many kind customers and pups these days. I didn’t get to thank everyone individually over the past few weeks but thank you all for coming back to see me and for being so kind! Here’s Blue! Just the sweetest little dude around. Somehow it’s been 3 years since this whole project started thank you all for making that happen.

Bring your son to work day today and Pennie and Oliver, and even munchkin got to see the supervisor in action. They were very good pups and didn’t mind a baby kicking around. Yes we paid the dogs in cookies for their time 😁

Just a heads up to anyone trying to book an appointment you need to fill out the client submission form. Send it in an email so I know what I am dealing with. I do not take same-day walk-in appointments. Furthermore, I do not take online booking. I don’t have online booking Facebook approved online booking that I do not have and if you book an appointment using the Facebook automated response you will not actually receive a groomer when you show up so please don’t book online because I don’t have grooming booking online. I never approved that option Facebook automatically applied it and unfortunately I’m not available at any of the hours that are listed on that website so don’t book because I will not be here. You’ll have to fill out the client submission form or call the number on the website.Facebook will not allow me to turn off the online booking capabilities but I don’t work those hours because I’m not available at those times. I am currently booking one week out do to high demand and can’t add any more hours to the availability. Please email or message or use 413-345-1744 to schedule

Just a little refresher on our
Policies and Procedures

Zen Den Pet Spa reserves the right to decline services to clients in order to keep all pets in our care safe. Reasons to decline services might be signs of contagious illness, serious medical or health concerns, excessive elderly age or pets too young for vaccines.Please disclose any health or behavioral conditions or accomodations your pet may need previous to the appointment to make sure we can keep yours pts comfortable and safe throughout their services, Other reasons to decline the service may include extreme anxiety or stress to the point of possible injury to the pet that is not able to be resolved by the groomer. Aggression to the groomer, other pets or otherwise aggressive behavior that is not disclosed prior to the service may be subject for immediate removal of the pet from the premises. We strive to create a calm and peaceful environment for your pets and if we feel we cannot provide that we may refer you to the care of your veterinarian to keep everyone safe. Furthermore any aggressive behavior on behalf of the owners will not be tolerated on the premises.

Vaccinations: We require proof of current Rabies vaccination for all pets who enter the shop, please arrive with your up to date copy of your pets rabies vaccine certificate or proof from the vet or send it ahead of the appointment time by email at [email protected] for the safety of your pets we do recommend your pets stay vaccinated and boosted with additional vaccines such as Parvo virus, Bordetella, DHPP( distemper, hepatitis,adenovirus,parainfluenza,parvo) Canine Influenza, Leptospirosis etc.

Drop off and Pick up: Pets are to be dropped off at the time of service and picked up in a timely manner as this salon is a one on one appointment only facility. For grooming and bathing services which take upwards of 30 minutes to 2 hours pets are to be left in the care of the groomer and retrieved once the groomer informs the owners of the completion of services. For standalone services owners are to remain in their vehicles or in the salon as the duration is typically 5-10 minutes and the pets shou;ld not be dropped off and left unattended.

Financial: All sales are final and financial compensation is required for all services by the time of departure from your appointment. Payments can be made via Cash, Credit Card, Checks ( returned checks will incur a $30 fee for non payment), Venmo, Cash app and Paypal.

Health: We reserve the right to enforce policies to protect the health of the general public, our staff and clients alike and will institute indoor masking, social distancing, and no contact policies when recommended by local, state, and federal mandate or when deemed necessary.


Liability: Zen Den Pet Spa cares deeply for the safety of your pets and we cannot be held accountable for injury or illness that may occur during or after the services provided on premise, and all pet owners are responsible for their own vet care needs. It is important to disclose any possible allergies, illness, injuries, health concerns or otherwise important information such as behavioral needs for your pets prior to services in order to keep yours pets and our staff safe and comfortable.

No show/Cancellation/Late arrival and departure policies:
Your time is valuable and so is ours. That is why we schedule all services carefully in advance by appointment only to honor and respect everyone's time. We understand that emergencies do happen and try to remain flexible but we do ask that you respect our time. If you need to cancel an appointment we require that you do so before the time of your scheduled appointment.
Any cancellation must be made by contacting the groomer at least 24 hours in advance to your scheduled service or there may be a cancellation fee of $25 charged electronically. Cancellations will be allowed to reschedule provided they have contacted the groomer in advance to their appointment.
If you do not show up to the scheduled service without contacting the groomer to reschedule or cancel your services then a No Show fee of $35 will be charged electronically and you will not be allowed to rebook any services in the future through Zen Den Pet Spa.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled service without contacting the groomer a late fee of $10 will be applied to the cost of your service. We reserve the right to decline services if you are more than 20 minutes late to your scheduled service without contacting the groomer for prior approval.
Since we are a one on one salon we cannot provide daycare or boarding services, in order to keep your pets safe and happy please retrieve your pets in a timely manner after completion of their services. Any pets left for an excess of 30 minutes after the groomer contacts the owner for retrieval will incur a fee of $10 per 30 mins that the owners are late for retrieval. Please inform the groomer if you are on any time constraints to ensure that services can be rendered in the appropriate amount of time to allow for prompt arrival, departure and care of your pets.

Matting Procedures:
We are a humanity over vanity salon and we do not provide dematting services to pets who are deeply matted. Shaving is required to keep all pets safe if the matting and neglect are too extensive. We do charge a fee of $20 per pet for severe matting that requires shaving. This is because the removal of mats can be dangerous and cause irritations to pets skin as well as be damaging to their coat, it can be stressful to pets and requires the groomer to spend extra time to remove the mats safely. Oftentimes matted pets coats actually do damage to the groomers tools and so given the time, attention, and needs required to de mat a pet means that we do require an additional fee added to the cost of your grooming. Pets with severely matted coats require more time and special attention. The care provided to matted pets requires skill, care and also puts wear and tear on the groomers equipment. Removal of mats can reveal irritations to the skin caused by the neglect of the mats, also de-matting can cause irritations to the skin underneath the tangled hair such as rash, hematoma and or nicks and scrapes. This is why we encourage all pets to remain in frequent grooming at home or in the salon in order to save your pet from any distress, potential injury, or pain and stress of grooming while dematting.

Fleas and Parasites:
we take all infections, illness and pests seriously. Fleas, Ticks and Parasites such as dermatologic conditions not limited to ringworm, ear and skin mites, and internal parasitic worms are serious issues and will be addressed with care, if your pet is discovered to have fleas or parasites without previously disclosing this info to the groomer in advance we will need to treat your pets immediately as well as the entire salon. Any pets found to have fleas will be subject to a de flea treatment and that will incur an additional cost of $20 to your services. The fee is for the extra time, precautions, and supplies used to remove fleas from your pets and our salon. If parasites such as worms are found your pet will be denied entry and or require prompt pick up and will be referred to a veterinarian for care.
