Description: This is our kitty that has gone missing today around 2pm we live in a busy street area on 50 Springfield st Chicopee mass in Chicopee center. Hes a sweet indoor cat he’s under a year old and he’s very friendly he’s black with white on his chest as well as green eyes with a black leather collar and a Purple Heart on it

158 days Grammy has been waiting…

Grammy arrived in October with 12 other hurricane refugees from the Florida.

Grammy likes so many things but her top five are:
✅ Walks
✅ Snuggles under blankets
✅ People
✅ Treatos
✅ Wearing fashionable coats

Grammy does not like:
🚫 Dogs in her space (not reactive on walks)
🚫 Little critters

We’d love her to celebrate her 8th birthday in her forever home. Thanks to a generous donor, her adoption fee is only $150.

With the warming temperatures ☀️ and the upcoming Easter holiday 🐰, Dr Follet thought it would be a good time to remind pet owners of the danger of lilies! 💐All true lily species (including Easter lilies, tiger lilies, day lilies, and Japanese showy lilies (rubrum)) are EXTREMELY toxic to dogs and cats!!

All parts of the plant are considered toxic (even the pollen!) and even minor exposures can result in toxicity. 🚨

Symptoms of exposure include :
-Vomiting 🤮
-Diarrhea 💩
-Anorexia 🤐

These symptoms can be seen within the first 2 hours following consumption! After 24-72 hours, KIDNEY FAILURE can occur, resulting in decreased urine production, dehydration, and hypothermia!

🚨🚨Without aggressive treatment death will occur in 3-6 days.🚨🚨

—> Treatments include inducing vomiting if the pet just ate the plant, activated charcoal to bind some of the toxin, and IV fluid therapy .
—> Kidney values need to be closely monitored over several days.
—> Even with treatment, prognosis is guarded for the first 72 hours until the extent of kidney damage is known.

This spring, stick to safe flowers such as roses, Ge**er daisies,sunflowers,freesia, and orchids.

Hearts are so broken with this sad news. May Remi rest in peace. His family didn’t have the good news they were hoping for but know now he was never stolen and they have closure. RIP sweet puppy. Run free!💔

We have an update we never wanted to share💔
We are beyond heartbroken to share that sweet Remi was found yesterday in West Springfield, he was in a backyard of home where he was tucked behind a garage, between a fence and under thick brush. We searched everywhere in our power that we could, postered up every single neighborhood both side of the streets, foot searches, thermal drone searches, feeding stations trail cameras. We handed out flyers door to door, sent out missing pet ring app alerts almost daily, we asked people over and over to check their yards, their camera footage from that night. We specified the streets needed to check. We begged for sightings and did not get all reported until 5 days later. We put up 2 billboards with the help of this community.
His family brought him to the vet last night to be examined, they checked him over and he had Trauma injuries to his back end consistant with being hit by a car, when a dog gets hit they get scared they hide immediately. It looked like he just ran and hid in this small space after he was hurt. He had been deceased most likey since the first couple days he was missing. He will be cremated and he will be back home, where he belongs soon . The family wants to thank everyone for EVERY SINGLE OUNCE of love, prayers, and all the searching of so many areas we needed to clear. They ask to please not reach out to them right directly right now, they need time to process and heal from this huge loss. Run Free Sweet Remi, you have the hearts of thousands of people. We love you and will never forget you. This is a very sad day West Springfield.
