Our Yucca Family is thrilled to extend a warm WELCOME to our newest team member Dr. Chloe Reiter! Having had the pleasure of her company as an extern at our office over the past couple of years, we are overjoyed to have her join our team. As a Texas native, she brings a spark of Lone Star spirit. She attended Texas Tech University for vet school, and was part of the historic first graduating class from the TTU Veterinary program last month. She brings a passion for equine and small animal medicine, and is also eager to help exotics as well. Our team strives to bring the community the best veterinary medicine and patient care. Save This Life microchip company has unfortunately gone out of business. Which, our office used prior to March 1st, 2021. It’s important to act quickly to get your pet re-registered with another provider to ensure their microchip remains active and traceable.

1. Here's a summary of what you'll need to do:
To obtain your pet’s microchip number (if you don’t already have it) contact Yucca Veterinary Medical Center at 505-864-6001. This is necessary for the new registration.

2. Choose a new microchip provider: We have added a few options below:

Free Registry Service at www.freepetchipregistry.com.
This free database is connected to the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool.
Registry with Datamars/ Petlink. Save this Life microchipchips are able too register for $1.00 until 3/31/25. You can use promo code STLDOLLAR

….These are a few options you can consider to register your pet's microchip.

3. Register your pet with the new company to ensure their microchip remains active and traceable in case they get lost.

4. Once you receive confirmation that your microchip has been registered with the new company there is no need to contact us.
