I'm offering exercise and check in services in Camden/Rockland/surrounding areas for your companions! Daily exercise can provide much needed physical and mental stimulation that can deter behavioral issues caused by boredom, and we all know that a tired dog is a happy dog - that's the truth! My prices are flexible based on need - kind and caring pet care should not break the bank! Boarding facilities can be very scary and stressful for your pets, so keep them at home, feeling safe, and allow them to stay on their normal schedule while you are away! :) SERVICES OFFERED:* (all visits include water/food/medication check) CHECK IN (POTTY BREAK) - $10 per visit 30 MIN WALK - $15 per visit 60 MIN WALK - $25 per visit DOG ADVENTURE: $50 (a multi-hour hike through the woods of one of the many trails in the Midcoast Maine area) My name is Katie. I have a deep passion for animal care and am constantly broadening my knowledge of companion animals behavior through work in the pet industry and personal study. I am a current Social and Abnormal Psychology student at the University of Maine and have plans to further my education in Canine Cognition and Behavior. I've been the guardian of cats, dogs, fish, mice, and many other little critters throughout my life. Right now, I am owned by a 5 year old Catahoula/Australian Shepherd mix, named Dexter, who was a rescue from Arkansas and a vivacious young kitten, Princess Peach. I adopted Dexter 4 years ago and he had severe anxiety around strangers, but through positive reinforcement training has been rehabilitated and his confidence continues to grow by leaps and bounds each day. Having an anxious dog, I knew that I could never leave him in a kennel or boarding facility if I were to travel without him (not something I do often, thankfully) and I knew there must be other owners like me out there. I knew that Dexter would be far happier in his own home while I was away, so I decided to start offering these services to others in my community. Having worked in variety of environments within pet care (vet offices, boarding kennels, animal shelters, grooming salons, pet food & supply stores) and being the admin of a +1200 member breed-specific group on Facebook, I saw a massive need for stress reduction in our furry friends who are overwhelmed in boarding kennels.
