Would you look at that! “Behavior boys”, Titus and Sammy, double heeling with their owner. These two have joined us for many lessons to reestablish boundaries within their pack. After spending weeks apart, these boys sure made their trainer happy to see this progress! A successful behavior modification program is 30% the trainer you choose to work with and 70% owner dedication! Great work Terry and David the boys are looking great!✨

Rivers and Tucker Sit Stay
Monday Night’s AKC STAR Puppy Class ✨
Next Monday is the big test! For the test, they must be able to perform a simple sit with a treat lure.
This week, they progressed to 15 foot sit stays. Safe to say these two munchkins are going to soar through the test with flying colors! 🏅

Happy 1st Birthday Maggie! And thank you Mary Beaulieu for bringing in frosty paws for all the dogs to enjoy!

A little about me ✨
I’m a canine behavior specialist, which is a fancy way of saying, I study dog behavior and have lots of experience modifying unwanted behaviors. I’m more than a regular “dog trainer”. I don’t just teach sit and stay. I work with dogs and owners to change VERY dangerous behaviors. For me, i like em “the badder the better”. That’s not to say i don’t have failures. Some dogs truly are too dangerous to safely be rehabilitated. One day i may share my experiences and stories of those dogs. I am believer in building a strong foundation for puppies and owners to prevent such cases from happening. But for all those who do end up lost with their dog, I am your resource for all things “naughty”.
I’ve been a professional trainer for seven years.
I have 4 certifications in training and behavior modification.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Animal and Veterinary Science from the University of Maine Orono.
I have worked with the Kennebec Humane Society since the Spring 2016.
I have evaluated over two thousand dogs, so far.
I regularly foster dogs who need behavior or medical help.
I have four dogs, all of whom range from the bestest damn dog you’ll ever meet to the worst.
My experience with my naughty demon of a dog has made me the trainer I am today.
I also have one cat, who is my soul mate.
The video below is me teaching Watson, a Kennebec Valley Humane Society Alumni, the beginning steps of “place”. Believe it or not, weeks prior to this video I couldn’t touch Watson. I couldn’t even get him out of his kennel he was displaying such severe fear aggression. Getting him out took a lot on both our parts. Not long after this video he found his forever home.
Anyone who is a full time dog trainer knows you don’t do it for the money or the glorious mornings of scooping endless poops. You do it for the Watson’s, the dogs who change your heart forever. If i achieve nothing else as a dog trainer, I hope I better the live
