🐾 Dog of the Month...Hansel 🐾
Hansel isn’t just our Dog of the Month, he’s also a Second Throw team dog, and we’re so excited to share his Second Throw story. 💚
Hansel was adopted from Louisville Metro Animal Services, where incredible volunteers and programs work tirelessly to give every dog their best chance at a new life. Hansel spent more than six months there, and was their longest-stay dog before heading out on what was supposed to be a weekend “field trip.”
He was so scared to leave the shelter that he had to be carried to the car…but the moment they walked through the front door, he hopped on the couch like he’d been waiting for that moment forever.
Since then, Hansel has healed, blossomed, and become the biggest goofball. He even uses 25 talking buttons. He often asks for a “ride” to “work” so he can join Clif, his dad and a university soccer coach, to hype up players before their matches. (Still holding off on that 401(k). 😆)
From scared and silent to vocal, adventurous, and full of joy, Hansel proves every dog deserves a Second Throw.
We will be donating a box of 100 tennis balls on Hansel's behalf to the Louisville Animal Shelter to say thank you for the amazing work that they do!
