Playtime vs. Rest: When Should You Hit Pause? 🧠🐶

We love an energetic game of fetch, but did you know too much play can be stressful for your pup? Dogs may seem tireless, but over-exercising can lead to:

🚩 Fatigue – If they’re slowing down or zoning out, it’s time for a break!

🥵 Overheating – Especially in warm weather, overheating can happen fast. Make sure your pup hydrates and rests.

⚠️ Obsession – Some dogs can become too fixated on fetch, leading to anxiety when they don’t get constant play.

Best fetch times? Early mornings or evenings when it’s cooler. 🌞 When to rest? If they seem overly tired, panting hard, or are reluctant to chase.

One of our Trainers was on her way back from a town trip with a Service Dog in Training. The sun must have been hitting just right because when she looked in the rearview mirror, Ranger had fallen asleep sitting up in the back seat. 🚗😪💤 These extraordinary animals know how to bring a smile to your face without even trying.
