Little Braven can't wait to find his forever home. This energetic lab/pit mix was born on Nov 13, 2024. He weighs 12 pounds and will probably be a medium size dog. Braven loves people. He likes to throw his toys up in the air and catch them. This funny fellow could be your next best friend.

If you are interested in meeting Braven, just go to our website at www.afobcwv.org, and click on Adoption Application. Once we receive your online application and call your vet for a reference, we will make an appointment for you to meet this sweet pup. If you have a problem doing the application call Judy at 304 457 1419

SATURDAY UPDATE:
THIS IS NOT THE UPDATE THAT I WANTED TO GIVE THIS MORNING. MIRACLE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE LAST NIGHT. HER TINY BODY PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT, BUT JUST COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. PARVO IS UNPREDICTABLE WHEN YOU HAVE TO FIGHT IT. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS VACCINATED.

WE BELIEVE IN GIVING ANIMALS A CHANCE AT LIFE. THAT CAN BE COSTLY, EVEN WHEN IT IS NOT SUCCESSFUL. "SMALL STRAY PUP" AS MIRACLE IS KNOWN ON OUR VET BILL, HAS AN $850+ BILL. IF YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE ANY MONEY TOWARDS HER BILL, WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. APPALACHIAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL CAN BE REACHED AT 304-636-8760. OUR ACCOUNT IS "AFBC CANINE"

THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE, SUPPORT, AND PRAYERS. OUR MISSION CONTINUES...

Hello, it's Miracle here. It's Friday evening and I am having a rough time. My diarrhea and vomiting are back and my temperature has dropped a little. The doctor says that this Parvo stuff can go up and down. If you could please continue to pray for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you❤️

Thursday evening update:
Miracle had no vomiting or diarrhea today, but is still very nauseous. She is still not wanting to eat or drink. She remains stable, and we continue to hope and pray❤️

CONTINUED HAPPY BLESSING:
"MIRACLE," AS WE ARE STARTING TO CALL HER, WAS UP AND WALKING AROUND THIS MORNING! SHE IS STABLE, BUT SHE STILL HAS BLOODY DIARRHEA AND IS NOT EATING ON HER OWN. PARVO IS A TRICKY DISEASE, SO WE CONTINUE TO HOPE AND PRAY.

MORE HOPEFUL UPDATE:
THE VET'S OFFICE CALLED AND SAID THAT HER TEMPERATURE IS BACK TO NORMAL, SHE ALLOWED THEM TO FEED HER WITHOUT CLENCHING HER JAW, AND EVEN THOUGH SHE IS STILL DEPRESSED, SHE IS SITTING UP. PLEASE KEEP SENDING THOSE PRAYERS❤️❤️

HOPEFUL UPDATE:

PLEASE KEEP THOSE PRAYERS COMING. YOUR RESPONSE IS BEAUTIFUL. SHE MADE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT, PRAISE THE LORD!❤️ SHE IS STILL CRITICAL, BUT HER TEMPERATURE HAS COME UP.

Ok, Friends, we have a huge request that will not cost you anything, but a moment. This adorable tiny puppy has been diagnosed with Parvo. She was found in the Belington area. She is hospitalized, on an IV, receiving meds, warming blankets, etc., but her temperature is dropping and it is not looking good. Please send your prayers and positive energy to this little cutie. We are praying she makes it through the night. ❤️

Beautiful "Darling Diya" is a 5 month old Bernise/pit mix. Her 8 litter mates have all found foster or adoptive homes but she is still at our shelter, waiting for her forever family. Diya gets along well with other dogs and loves people. She already weighs over 40 pounds, so she will be a fairly large adult.
If you are interested in applying to adopt Darling Diya, please go to our website at www.afobcwv.org and click on Adoption Application. Or call Judy at 304 457 1419.

PET OWNERS, PLEASE NOTE!

If your dog or cat has a 'SAVE THIS LIFE' microchip, we have important news: The company has suddenly shut down and disconnected its database. This means that if your pet gets lost, their microchip won’t help reunite you, as it cannot be scanned for contact information.

Here is what you can do to ensure your pet's microchip is up to date:
- Check your pet’s records. Or visit your local veterinarian or Animal Friends to scan your pet's microchip.

- Take the microchip number from the scanner and look it up online at https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/

- Looking up the chip online will allow you to make sure the chip is still active and that your contact information is up to date.

- If your pet has a 'Save This Life' chip, you will need to register with a new company. There are a few different companies that you can re-register your pet's microchip with and that's AKC Reunite, PetLink and 24PetWatch.

Don’t wait— Keep your pet safe and take a moment to check your pet’s chip today!
