💖HAPPY TAILS!!💖
"Jenny" was recently adopted and quickly took to her new "brother" 🥰 Her new mom had this to say:
Jenny is adjusting already! She is in love with her new dog brother! Perfect addition to our family"
Happy tails can be emailed to us at [email protected]
“Scrappy” would love a new home. He takes awhile to warm up but once he does he’s like Velcro and won’t leave your side for much besides running around like this! He loves other dogs his size and would benefit from another dog in the home to show him the ropes. He doesn’t quite know what toys are and really just wants to be with his person and other dogs. He prefers women to men but would do ok with either, as long as they give him time to get used to them. He really is such a love! If you would like to meet him please call us 231-533-6421
Zoomie time!
“Tank” had the zoomies on this beautiful sunny day! He is a big lovable boy, a little shy at first but he warms up quickly. Tank seems to have some separation anxiety and does not do well in crates, he would love it if his new owner was with him pretty much all the time.He would benefit from being the only pet in the home, but he does get along with other dogs. He is strong but listens pretty well. Some more training would be great for him, he will make someone a great cuddle buddy. Give us a call if you are interested at 231-533-6421. Adoption fee is $45, he is fixed, chipped and vaccinated. A small bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition dog food, toys and bed will be sent with him to his new home.
Feline Friday! Our featured cat this week is "Denver." He is a sweet-talkin' man who loves people and other cats. If you think he may be the purr-fect fit for your home give us a call at 231-533-6421.
Our community cat room is back! The cats are enjoying the updates 😊 All are available for adoption. Give us a call to meet them 231-533-6421. ** adoption fee is $45. All cats are fixed and chipped and sent home with a small bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition food.
Update, adopted!!!
This happy go lucky boy is “Buddy” and he is ready for his forever home! He is a Burnese Mountain dog/ Lab mix about 5 years old, tall and big. He does tend to jump up sometimes and doesn't realize how big he is. He has lots of energy and loves to play, as you can see. He would do best in a home with no small children or cats. Dog meets required. Give us a call if interested 231-533-6421. *Adoption fee $45
UPDATE: ADOPTED
“Nellie” is ready for her new home! She is a hound mix, 47 pounds, about 2 years old. She seems to be good with other dogs, she has not reacted to the cats here at the shelter. She’s a very sweet girl, she needs some help learning what toys are and a little work with walking on a leash but she is doing great here. Please call us with any questions and to schedule a meet, 231-533-6421
Update 2/8/22, adopted ❤️
“Diesel” is still waiting to be adopted. He is a large boy at about 67 pounds. He is about 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is such a lover and will sit with you and put his head in your lap. He likes to run around and play. He seems to be ok with other large dogs, we aren’t sure about small dogs and cats but here at the shelter he has ignored the kitties. Please call us if you are interested at 231-533-6421
A huge thank you to the students and teachers at North Central Academy for bringing us all these donations!!!
