We are finally getting some production up and running again after a very busy rut and youth season. Here is a custom mount we just finished adding a customer’s buck from 2005 (right side) to a bourbon barrel display. We would like to announce that going forward we will be a deer only shop. Due to the high demand for our deer taxidermy, and with trying to keep turn-around times under 1 year, we are no longer accepting work other than deer and other antlered game heads. We really appreciate our customer’s support and hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Here are a few recent shoulder mounts. As hunting season gets closer we want to update everyone on our ‘24-‘25 season shoulder mount price. Due to a large increase in our shop overhead and other increases we will be at $1000 plus tax with $500 as a deposit. As out-of-state hunting seasons begin to open, we wanted to remind you that any deer species (Whitetail, Mule Deer, Elk, Moose) from ouside of Ohio can be brought to us directly. As long as you bring the deer to us within 24 hours of entering the State you may bring the head with cape attached. Please remember to keep things cold and be careful with your skinning! Good luck to those of you traveling to get an early start to the season!

A nice batch of Euros ready. The last 3 from last season went in the beetles earlier this week. The rest are in the degreasing and whitening stage. Superior skulls take time to do properly and we appreciate our customers who recognize this and are also willing pay a little extra for a better end product!

I had a great weekend at the Ohio Taxidermy Association show. I was finally able to put a personal piece together which I haven’t had time to do in a few years. Thanks to the judges Kurt Ainsworth and Jeremy Simon for a 1st place ribbon on my habitat and a 2nd place ribbon on my deer. I learned a lot from their critiques and how to improve on the next one!

Owner and taxidermist, Brian Burns, is an active member of the Ohio Taxidermy Association. He competes annually in the Ohio Taxidermy Championships in order to sharpen his skills and stay on top of the latest techniques and trends in the taxidermy industry.
