As the summer rolls on, don’t be afraid to start preparing for the fall and winter months by getting your horses mouth checked out to see if they are in need of any dental work! I hear all the time that “my horse is in pretty good condition, so his teeth can’t be bad.” This is sometimes the case but routine dental maintenance can find and correct the beginning of any malocclusions such as protuberant molars, a wave complex, sharps points towards cheeks and gums known as buccal and lingual cusps, and sharp enamel points not letting your horse chew properly. They could be struggling with dental discomfort and it could affect how they ride also! This will only help them to feel more comfortable, eat better, and perform better for you. A healthy horse is a happy one. We will work to get them feeling their best . Get a hold of me to get on the schedule to work on some horses or reach out anytime with equine dental questions!
