We are an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital that is dedicated to providing the best healthcare for your pets on a walk-in basis since 1961. At Bluffs Animal Hospital, we know that it is not always convenient to schedule and keep appointments concerning your pets medical care. In addition, illnesses and accidents are unpredictable and occur at inconvenient times. It is for these reasons that sinc

e we opened our doors in 1961, we have enjoyed being a walk-in hospital. Our clients are encouraged to walk in when it is convenient or when their pets need us. Veterinarians are on duty at 8:00 am and are happy to see you and your pets until closing time at 5:30 pm on the weekdays and 12:00pm on Saturdays. Established clientele may also drop off their pets during the day and our staff will provide care as needed. We do make daily appointments for surgery, dental cleanings, boarding, grooming and bathing. Please visit our website for more information.

Thanksgiving is approaching soon, here’s some helpful tips for safe foods and non safe foods for our pets. Bluffs will be closed Thursday 11/28 and reopen Friday 11/29 normal hours. If your pet ingestes a non safe food you can contact ASPCA pet poison control at (888) 426-4435. Have a safe and happy holiday.

Update from Hurricane Milton.
We are currently undergoing demolition of our lab area and are having to do a complete remodel. We finally have stable power and are off of the generator this week which means we are able to do boarding services and dental procedures. At this time we are seeing patients for doctor visits in the lobby and curbside. We plan to proceed surgeries and grooming/bathing once further renovations are performed.

Hurricane Milton Update:
Starting on Tuesday October 15th. We will be open 7am-5:30pm, doctors on duty at 8am for doctor/patient visits for curbside services only due to exam rooms being unavailable.
At this time we are not taking appointments for boarding and bathing.

Hurricane Milton Update:
Starting Monday October 14th we will be open 7:30-5:30pm for medication and food pick-ups only.
At this time we are working day by day on making sure the roof is repaired and safe for our patients and staff. Please check back daily for updates on when we will be open for doctor/patient visits.
If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency please visit a 24 hour facility such as Bluepearl, Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists or VEG

Hurricane Helene has affected so many families and animals. Bluffs is helping Protecting Paws For Life collect donations this week for hurricane victims.

Things to donate include: Dog/Cat wet and dry food, Dog/Cat bowls, Dog/Cat beds and blankets, Dog/Cat Toys, Cat litter/litter boxes, and Dog/Cat treats.

Drop off donations at Bluffs between September 30-October 5th

We have 2 adorable kittens up for adoption: Dale (orange male) and Danica (female tortie). They have been fostered by our amazing practice manager Beth who has socialized them from the time that they were bottle babies. This is Milton, our new clinic cat! 😻🤍

Milton was brought to us in terrible condition: his eyes were completely crusted over, he was infested with fleas, and super anemic and weak. Our amazing practice manager Beth, took Milton into her care and raised him. He is the most playful, care-free, loving kitten ever and he can’t wait to meet all of Bluff’s clients! ☺️💕
