Posting for owner, looking for the perfect home for her horse. Contact me if interested.
Please help me find a good loving home for my girl.
Penny is a tri color paint in her mid to late 20s but doesn't look or act her age. She hates being alone and just lost her best friend of 10 years. She was my first horse, I planned to keep her till the end, but we've lost 4 family members this year, now we had to put our other horse down. She's a good horse and deserves a good home. I think she would prefer a job again and not just be a pasture pet like she’s been the last few years, but she needs someone with experience, patience and kindness.
She is well trained (not always obedient 😉), English or Western, I preferred English so I can’t say if she neck reins or not but her prior owners rode her western. She needs a more intermediate/experienced rider. Because of life I haven't ridden her more than once or twice in the last 4 years or so, but when I was younger I rode her ba****ck all the time, slid off her butt, etc. She likes to go. She’s been shown in 4H.
In great health, no issues with teeth, hooves, etc. Trailers very well.
I think she has mild arthritis during the winter, on really cold weeks or before winter farrier visits I gave her bute. Prefers free range to go in and out her stall at will. She has no vices like cribbing or weaving, stalls well, but gets stiff if she's stalled for long stretches of time.
I need to find her a wonderful home because she is miserable being alone.
Thank you,
She is in South Vienna.
