For all of those who are currently serving in our military we remember you also and thank you for your commitment to keep all of us protected. We also want to say thank you to our son Cody who is serving in the United States Marines and is currently deployed in the Phillipines. We all miss you and look forward to your safe return.

The 2024 blueberry season at Abshier Farms is now over. We appreciate everyone that came out to see us this year and we hope you enjoyed it as much as our family did. We took this picture today. Just a reminder tomorrow is the last day of the season. We will be open from 8-5. Picking will be pretty good and we have a few pints of prepicked berries in our cooler if you get here early. See you tomorrow!

VERY IMPORTANT!! We are changing our last day of our blueberry season from Wednesday, May 15th, to Thursday May 16th due to weather. There is almost a 100% chance of rain tomorrow and 0% on Thursday. We will be open our regular hours of 8-5. Please share with your friends and family to help us get the word out. Thanks.

We have some good news! We will be opening Wednesday, May 15th, from 8-5. This will be our last day of the 2024 season. We still have some great areas to pick if you haven't made it out yet. There will also be a few pints in the cooler that will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. We hope to see you then.

Sunday we celebrate Mothers Day. Let me introduce you to a special one in our family. This is Stephanie Locklear our daughter in law. She is staying with us while her husband Cody is in the Philippines with the USMC. She has her hands full with our grandchildren. They have a 4 and 2 year old, and a 7 month old who keeps her very busy. Happy Mothers Day Stephanie and to all of our moms out there. We will be open tomorrow from 8-5 and we still have lots of delicious blueberries in our field. Come see us before they are all gone.

It’s always nice to see grandma’s with their grandchildren headed out to do some blueberry picking. The end of our season is approaching fast so come see us as soon as you can. Hi everyone. Picking this week will be amazing as we still have a lot of ripe blueberries in our field that have your name on them. These pictures were taken today in our field. We are down to our last two weeks of picking so come and see us and bring a friend to pick some of these delicious blueberries as soon as you can. The season will be over before you know it. Good morning. We were fortunate to have our original farm crew together back at the farm this season. Our blueberry farm wouldn’t be what it is today without the hard work of all of my family. My cousins Peek and Linda Hames, my parents Roy and Lou Abshier, and my wife and I. So many great times and memories shared with all of you. Great news, we still have a lot of delicious blueberries in our field. We will be here for the next two weeks and then the season will end. Come make some memories and fill your freezer before the season is over.

Good morning. We have reached the midway point of our blueberry season. If you haven't made it out yet we only have two or three weeks before we close for the season. The good news is the hot weather we had last week really helped ripen up our fruit. This week will be a great time to come pick. Remember, if you don't have time to pick your own you can still call us at 352-817-2660 to place an order to have them picked for you. Our days of operation are Wednesday through Saturday from 8-5.

Hi everyone. Tomorrow will be a great day to pick as we will be opening a portion of our second field for the first time this season. With the much needed heat to help ripen up the berries, picking will become easier. Next week all of our varieties will be in. See you tomorrow.

Good morning. Many of you have asked about the history of our sales counter. It originally was the sales counter in the Adams Country store in White Springs, Florida. Adams Country store was founded in 1866 by the late Confederate Captain Robert Watkins Adams after the War Between the States. Not sure when the counter was first used in the store but I have attached an old photo of it that I found online.

We will have another great week of picking this week with all varieties becoming ripe. I will be opening our second field this week as well. See you at the farm.

Good morning. We will have our normal operating hours this week, Wednesday through Saturday 8am-5pm. A couple of years ago we had a parakeet hopping around in the blueberry field. You can imagine my surprise when I saw this little lady walking around about a month ago. We are not sure where she came from but she is now a resident at the farm.😃Picking should be good this week as we have two more varieties turning ripe. There is a chance of rain on Thursday but other than that it should be a great week of picking. We will see you soon.

Good morning. Looks like amazing weather for some blueberry picking the next three days. We have some great looking blueberry plants to sell this year for those of you who want to grow their own berries. We include mulch, fertilizer, and instructions on how to grow them with your purchase. Duke just had to be in the picture.😂.

Hi everyone, just a reminder that tomorrow is our opening day. I just looked over the field and picking will be excellent this week. If you can't come tomorrow we will be open through Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is a chance of rain tomorrow but as of now it doesn't look like much to me. Regardless, we will be open. Happy Easter everyone. We are excited to let you know that the 2024 blueberry season will begin April 3. If all goes well with the fruit we have on our bushes, this will be the largest blueberry crop we have ever had. Which means, we will have plenty of blueberries for everyone to pick. Our hours of operation will be Wednesday-Saturday from 8am-5pm. When we open on Wednesday we will have blueberries that you can pick and purchase along with our blueberry jam, soap, and plants. Our prices will be the same as last year for all products sold. However, you can save 3% if you pay with cash this year instead of a credit card. We have 4 of our varieties really coming in now. We will most likely be open around six weeks this season with the peak of our season happening in about 2-3 weeks. Pictured below is our first blueberry picker of the 2024 season. She has been our first customer to the farm on opening day the last 4 or 5 years at least. What started out as a rainy opening day turned out to be a great afternoon day to pick. We still have lots of ripe blueberries to pick for tomorrow. We will not be open this Saturday before Easter so come see us tomorrow if you can. See you then.

Good morning everyone. It is that time of the year. We are going to have a soft opening for the farm this Thursday and Friday. We will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We have some sections that will offer great picking but please keep in mind that over 90% of our field is not ready. The peak of our season won't be for three to four weeks and picking then will be the easiest. We will not be open this Saturday and most likely the regular season will begin next week.
