HAPPY TAILS! Our beloved, gorgeous boy, RUSTY, has finally found his person - and it's a match made in heaven 💙🥹

Rusty spent way too long in a kennel hoping that he can find a warm home to spend the rest of his life in & his wish came true. He'll be able to spend his days with his new paw-rent who works from home & lives alone - what a perfect scenario for him. 🫶🏼

Take a look into our Cat Haven residents, where we currently have 3 groups of cats: tabby, grey, and (somehow) a mixture of the two 🤭

In our tabby section you'll find Miss Piggy & Nate:
🐷 Miss Piggy is about 4 months old
🐢 Nate is about 8 years young 😉

In our grey section you'll find Lightning, Pluto, & Queen:
⚡️ Lightning is about 4 months
🪐 Pluto is about 2.5 years old
👑 Queen is about 4 months old

AND in our mixed section you'll find Lola & Miss Sally:
🎀 Lola is 4 years young
🌻 Miss Sally is 4 months old

This dog was caught by Sumpter PD on 1/14/25 in the Rawsonville Woods mobile home park. He looks well cared for and even knows some tricks. If you know who I am or who I belong to please contact Friends of Michigan Animals Rescue at [email protected]

We have a new puppy on the block.. & we heard that he's ready for adoption 😉 Everyone, meet PAPI - our new 6-month old large breed pup who has melted the hearts of everyone here at FMAR 🥹

Here's a bit more info on this cutie:

🐾 Papi currently lives in a Foster Home with two other dogs and cats - we've learned that he thrives in a social environment! Papi has a great sense of humor, and whether it's chasing after toys, rolling around in grass, or practicing ""puppy zoomies", he’s always down to clown 🤭

💙 When it comes to training, Papi responds well to positive reinforcement, and a simple whistle is a great way to redirect him when needed. He’s very receptive to guidance and is eager to please!

🐾 At night, Papi is a dream ❤️ he sleeps soundly on the couch with no accidents and doesn’t get into anything he’s not supposed to. His calm, well-mannered nature makes him easy to live with, and he enjoys winding down after a day of play.

💙 Papi is also fantastic with cats, showing nothing but gentleness and curiosity. He loves car rides and is an excellent travel companion, behaving wonderfully on the road 🥹

If you’re looking for a well-rounded, HANDSOME, and affectionate large pup to add to your family, Papi might just be the perfect fit (or squeeze 😉)!

HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY FINLEY! 👑🎀

For her birthday, instead of gifts, Finley asked her family & friends to make donations to FMAR! 🥹🐾

After helping us unload her haul, Finley asked if she could see any of the current residents. She was in luck because Max and Clifford were ready for some birthday party fun!

Doggy Day Out: Ziggy 🥰💙

Ziggy was chosen for a Doggy Day Out and this is what we learned about this mature pup 👴🏼💙

🐾 Ziggy LOVES stuffed animals! His inner puppy comes out all over again when he's given a fresh, new stuffie to tear up 😆
🐾 He's a wise pup and will slowly become accustomed to his surroundings before he lets loose 100%
🐾 Ziggy really enjoys walks and does so well on a leash! He's in his ""daily stroll"" era and loves nothing more
🐾 He must have had a feline enemy back in the day - he does not enjoy other cats being around him 😆

Ziggy is a sweet, older gentleman that was dealt with tough circumstances that's led him to be anxious and nervous to be alone in the shelter. Although our volunteers do all we can to spend time with him & show him love, we can't help but hope that he'll be able to spend his days on a couch in a warm house instead of a chilly kennel.

HAPPY TAILS!! Our sweet girl Kiki has found her furever home! 🥹🫶🏼 After being the best office cat/intern ever, she has finally retired to a life full of snuggles and relaxation 🥰

Office cats sometimes find homes quicker than others due to folks being able to go into our office and meet them right away, but don't worry, office cats aren't the only residents of ours that you're able to meet before choosing to adopt

It's Senior Sunday, and we wanted to show you our residents who would love a place to live out their golden years 🫶🏼

Meet:

👴🏼 Maximus - An 11.5 year old Staffordshire mix who found himself back with us after 5 years due to a divorce. This gentleman has a heart of gold, helping raise his previous human baby brother - even helping him learn how to walk! Maximus would love to be out of the shelter and on a warm bed 💙

👴🏼 Ziggy - A 7 year old cutie patootie who loves walks, cuddles, playtime, & just about every single human being there is. He came to us after his previous owner fell on hard times & has desperately wanted to be back with a family ever since. He's a loyal pup who just wants someone to choose him furever 🙏

👴🏼 Nate - A 7.5 year old distinguished gentleman who loves cat cuddle-puddles, soaking in the sun, & spending his days around familiar faces. His calmer energy makes him a perfect companion for someone of the same demeanor - he's just looking for his match ❤️‍🩹
