Sometimes we try to steer away from telling the sad stories of the new residents we receive here at FMAR - but Max’s is one where we think everyone should hear 🫶

Meet Max - a two-year-old cuddle connoisseur with a heart full of love to give.

He was originally found as a kitten by his former owner during a very tough time in her life - Max became her unwavering source of comfort, joy, & the reason to get out of bed every morning (many of us can relate).

For two beautiful years, they were each other's everything. 💞

When life threw her an unimaginable curveball, she lost her job and her home.

She had to make the heart-wrenching decision to surrender Max to FMAR. Their tearful goodbye was a testament to their bond, and her greatest comfort was knowing that FMAR will find him a loving home. ❤️‍🩹

Max is a champion lap cat who's been a solo star his whole life, and he's ready to bring his warmth and loving purrs to a new furever family.

HAPPY TAILS!! Angel (who was found with the tips of her ears bitten off due to fly bites when she was a stray) has found a home! 🥰 Her adoption was made possible by one of our fosters helping her transition from a kennel to a living room so it’d be easier for her to make her actual adoption successful!

Nick, her foster dad, gave her a place to destress from the shelter & practice getting used to:

🛋 Relaxing on a couch
🚽 Going potty in the backyard
💤 Sleeping when everyone else goes to sleep
🐶 Being a dog again 🫶

Which helped Angel be happy and destressed enough to be the perfect companion for her new parents 🥰

HAPPY TAILS!! 🎉 Our senior boy GUNNER has been adopted!! 🥹💘 He found his furever home that loves him & accepts him just as he is. Now he can live out his golden years the way he deserves - comfortably 💙

We’re so happy about Gunner’s early Christmas present, now we hope that a few of our other long-term residents get to find their furever family for the holidays

Introducing the sweetest, spunkiest girl we’ve ever seen - our new intake, HARMONY 😍🥹🫶

She was brought to us as a shy, scared stray that was roaming the streets by herself - it may be possible that she even had a home at one point given her being completely potty-trained & (now) absolutely loving every human that passes her kennel 💜

Here’s some more info about this love bug 🐞:

💝 She’s only about a year old!

💝 She LOVES playing fetch & will even patiently sit & wait for you to throw the ball again 🥹

💝 Looking for a reason to get off the couch more? Harmony LOVES to play & be active - she’d really enjoy being your hiking/walking buddy 🤸

💝 She might do well with a dog-sibling who has a similar personality & with the right introduction 🫶 She seems very interested in our on-site barn cats, so it would be best to be in a household without any felines 🚫

🚨 Odie is STILL looking for a home/foster ❤️‍🩹 The shelter environment is too much for him & he desperately needs a place to call his own. He’s a calm but timid boy (given his back story, that’s no surprise!), but turns into a goof once he knows he’s safe 🫶🏼
