Our Story

Our mission is to help you become the calm assertive pack leader that you need to be in order to guide your dog to a balanced, fulfilled and happy life. Through one on one sessions, Workshops and Pack Walk Club, we are dedicated to helping humans learn the tools they need to achieve balance in their dogs. Our hope is to keep as many dogs as we can in their homes and lower the number of dogs that are surrendered due to unwanted behaviors and frustrated humans. When we accepted the responsibility of being dog owners, we made a promise to ensure that our dogs are fulfilled and challenged in body, mind and heart every day. Our goal is to show you the simple formula that you can follow to make this happen. By following the principles that we at K-9 Behavior Rehabilitation/Roughneck Rescue & Sanctuary live by each day with our pack, you too can have a calm-submissive dog that brings a love and joy into your life that only a dog can bring.

We are also Roughneck Rescue & Sanctuary a no-kill, non-profit 501c3 organization that rescues and rehabilitates dogs in need. The rescue and sanctuary is located at our home in Belleville, Michigan. We either find these dogs new homes or give them a safe place to live for the rest of their lives. We are run by volunteers and rely solely on the generosity of friends and supporters.
