I love all my clients but there are certain clients that just make you really love what you do. I’ve been taking Skye since she was 6 months old in 2021. Today was my last day with her. Skye became Zenith’s best friend and sister. They always just meshed very well.

Hardest part about having military clients is them moving away.

We will miss you Skye so much. Have fun in Florida!

Sadly, the Whole Lotta Love family has lost another. Our Pablo kitty crossed the rainbow bridge sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. He passed peacefully in his sleep. He was 17 years old but still acted so much younger. He is now running with our dear Zeppelin and Zoso.

How we relax on hot days!

Sometimes being a pet sitter is hard. You form bonds with the animals you are looking after. Last week, I was informed that one of my regular boarders over the past two years was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her bladder. I was able to spend the weekend with her. We got to love on her and cuddle her as this is the last time we will be watching her as her vet doesn’t think she will make it much longer. Today, I said my one of my hardest goodbyes as her mom picked her up. My Callie Cat, we love you so much! You were such a great foster mom to Zenith.

My Vala’s season has started so walks/drop ins are limited. I am also FULL for Labor Day as well.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are filling fast too.

Join us for fundraiser benefiting Omaha Area Pet Sitters and multiple local rescues! We will have various local pet-friendly vendors, a food truck and so much more. Come together to help keep Omaha Area Pet Sitters a free service to the community and give back to area rescues! RAIN OR SHINE.

Best part, EMDukat Photography will be offering photo sessions for families and ALL their pets. That's right, all of them. Want to take a picture with your guinea pig or ferret? Great! As long as you can safely transport and contain them, they are welcome to join your family picture. All photo sessions must be booked prior to the event. No walk-ins will be available.

Omaha Area Pet Sitters is looking for a few extra volunteers who could come out to our fundraiser on August 13th. We're looking for volunteers to help set up, run waters, oversee some of the tables, assist with parking, etc.

This would be perfect for high school age kids that may need a few hours of community service!

Backup Sitters 101

All of our sitters know the importance of maintaining consistency in our pets lives. That means being able to accommodate our regular clients as much as possible! This brings a sense of peace to our clients and their pets. It helps them feel like they don't have to frantically start at square one when needing pet care.

Here are a few awesome reasons why you as a pet owner should have backup sitters:

○ In the event your regular sitter is unavailable for your requested sit, having another sitter on deck can avoid any added stress to your traveling/work plans.

○ In case you're out of town and your sitter has an emergency, a backup sitter is always good to have ready! Though you should be providing emergency contacts to your primary sitter, sometimes life happens.

○ Sometimes sitters need to take time off too! While your sitter may not be in your home every day, full time sitters can have upwards of 10+ visits a day. If your regular daily walker needs to take time off, having that backup sitter guarantees that your pets don't have to skip their daily walks/visits.

○ Having an extra emergency contact for your pet definitely isn't a terrible idea either!

○ Your pet will give you extra snuggles for setting them up with an extra friend 🐾

It's NEVER too early to get set up with a backup sitter. You can always fill out our form and explain that you're simply looking for backup OR you can filter through our directory and find someone that may fit your needs as much as your primary sitter.

A few months ago we introduced buttons to our dog Zenith. She got the idea of them pretty quick. She is now up to 16 buttons (four aren’t shown because they are in different places in the house)
