Whew, its been a.long cpl weeks.
2nd baby season is upon us.yes a 2nd wave of bottle/syringe/tube feeders.

We have released all but 3 opposums that momma raised. We just got in 4 new babies who's eyes just opened.
We have 2 bottle baby c***s( maybe 3 weeks old) and more coming in. We have released 1 batch of c**nies , and will be releasing more this weekend. Everyone else is weaning or weaned!
Baby birds are spewing in. Some injured, some fell from nest and reunification didn't work or couldn't happen.
Fawns are still coming in.

The weather has been crazy hot so trying to keep pools filled, access to water at all times, and so much going on that we are hoping to have a.cpl outdoor enclosures done and cages sorted this weekend but we will see what gets done.

We got a great donation on dog food this week from some amazing friends- Thank you!
Our biggest needs right now, are small blankets, kiddie/pet pools, cat and dog food dry and wet, formula, incubators, and pine chips/shavings, kiddie toys ( enrichment), flea and tick drops/spray, capstar and you can check out our Amazon wish list for other items. We couldn't do what we do , without all of you and our donors. We appreciate you all!

Have an amazing weekend friends!

Heads up, for those that are not aware, we will be taking less intakes for a cpl weeks. We have had some personal things arise ( everyone here is good but I will also be providing end of life care for a Dear friend/ prior client) so I need to manage time a bit differently.
We have many mouths to feed, wounds to take care of, critical critters already in care and more mouths and care to provide to 3 special needs kiddos on top of this . We are currently scheduling drop offs a day or 2 out as we are being bombarded bc everyone seems to be turning ppl away. This is no way directed to you other rehabbers as I get it. We all have to have limits. I too am 1 person with multiple full time jobs and responsibilities on top of this rescue.
Please be patient and if we cant get you in right away we will hopefully be able to find someone who can.

With that said * Any of our Rehab friends want to comment what you are taking at this time and contact info in comments would be great! Thank you all

A huge Thank you for the donation Erin Quinn !

Please Please Never just drop an animal off here without speaking to us .

Someone messaged about a " sickly baby c**n" yesterday and was trying to find a way to get him here.

This morning about 7 am I received a text saying " im almost there and then another saying I just dropped him off in a cage on front porch " . I didn't get this message until shortly after 8am. I go out- there is no cage. I message neighbors - no cage there either.
I msg person and they replied with " the box on front porch that has a black hook .

This said box/cage is a baby tortoise hutch and not c**n proof. And it wasn't latched. So guess what? No c**n. And now I have been out looking and searching for this c**n who is said to barely walk he is so weak. We have 10 acres, construction going on, and alot of stuff to look in, on and around and never found said c**n.

I am NOT the only person who requires contact for dropping off animals. All rescues do! Please never just drop it off and expect it to survive

If you call please leave vm or shoot us a text.

It is not even 1030 am and I have 12 c***s coming in already today.
This is how the days typically go for us right now during baby season. Please be patient and understand we have over 60 babies here currently depending on us along with the3- 2 legged human kids. If we do then respond right away we will , I promise. We have some kids coming out today to help so I won't be avail to take calls but texts may be responded to faster. Thank you for understanding!

I have been asked what is a big need right now, and that is cat and puppy food. We have atleast 32 c***s that are weaning, 16 that are weaned and 10 that are bottle babies still and we are getting more every day!

One of the squirrels that came in will be going back to the person's house for release this week, im gonna let some kids release the red squirrels tomorrow, gonna move babies around and get the Aviary hopefully finished bc we have another big rescue of birds coming in this week. We ordered Ollys outdoor enclosure and another for some more birds we got also coming in. Oppie has been an amazing surrogate/adoptive momma and all babies are growing and showing their wild side so we are ecstatic about this.

Today was an adventure, not as much for me but for my husband.
A call regarding 2 fawns who's momma had passed and left these 2 orphaned. Momma left them in a great neighborhood where they were watched and had a few amazing people watching out for them while seeking assistance. My husband went to help contain, and after a good chase they were able to get 1 and the other got away. Neighbors watched and my husband drove to the other side of Kzoo to try and help get 5 orphaned c***s from a tree hollow that the owner had a hard time retrieving yesterday but while enroute I got the call that he was finally able to retrieve them and get them contained. So he grabbed them and as he was leaving i got the call that fawn #2 was contained by another neighbor so he drove all the way back over to the other side of kzoo to retrieve fawn # 2.
An injured fawn is enroute right now ( 10:13pm)
2 sickly, burned baby c***s, a single c**n seeking ppl, 2 c***s earlier, 3 birds and more tomorrow.
It has been a crazy day here with intakes and calls and we are just now able to return some of those calls and messages.
Please be patient as I am only 1 person , we don't normally have the availability to retrieve, catch or trap critters in need. This just happened at the right timing and right people helping out.
Thank you to all those involved in caring for these babies over the last couple days.
