Utang is a young Shiba Inu who has been poorly socialized and pretty much explodes when he sees other dogs. We spent a good amount of time today helping him learn to be calm with other dogs around and pay attention to his handler. He did pretty awesome, he was eventually able to engage in a play group and he had a blast!

I love this little video by the great Pat Nolan! This is an easy drill to teach, and it works very nicely for dogs who need help going to a target away from you. Great exercise for dogs to use their brains and learn to think before acting. Exercising the brain is as important as exercising the body!

This is Kathi! The owner of Footprints wildlife rehab.
One of the hardest working women in the world.
She will never turn those babies away. Which is why she never stops working.
There are hundreds of animals that need to be fed and cared for, released and saved.
The babies are fed up to eight times a day. There are over 30 opossum babies, about 40 squirrel babies, 30+ bunnies, mice pups and this doesn’t include the sick, the healthy soon to be released, the adults…
Her phone goes off every couple of minutes. She is the only one who answers that phone.
She also runs her own salon, kathi shares her house with this American wildlife.
She needs your help.
I have never met a more dedicated, kind and loving person.

Auggie is a German Shepherd mix in need of a new home! Due to a new baby coming, we need to find a place for him right away. He is an intact male, about 18 months old, good with other dogs, not sure about cats. No young children. We are looking for a short-term foster or a long-term adopter.
